Location: Merritt Island, FL
Description: Our client is currently seeking a Technician - Integration Engineering II

This job will have the following responsibilities:
  • Assemble, manufacture, install, test aerospace vehicle structures of both metallic and composites.
  • Assemble and install pneumatic, mechanical, fluid, electrical systems and flight hardware assemblies in accordance with engineering models, drawings, specifications and written procedures.
  • Perform second party verifications and hardware inspections in compliance with engineering models, drawings, specifications, and written procedures.
  • Setup new production work areas, including layouts, tooling and equipment.
  • Troubleshoot, diagnose, and correct malfunctions by modification, rework, repair, and/or maintenance.
  • Perform root cause analysis and implement corrective actions for recurrence control
  • Operate various powered vehicles and equipment including forklifts, overhead cranes, aerial lifts, flight vehicle and subassembly transportation equipment, truck-trailer combinations and other ground support equipment as required.
  • Setup and operate a wide range of precision calibrated tools including but not limited to, torque wrenches, micrometers, calipers, laser tracker, height gauges and optical measuring instruments.
  • Operate a wide range of vehicle assembly tools including but not limited to, drills, deburr equipment, power feed drills, Hi-Loc runners, seal application tools, etc.
  • Support vehicle checkouts such as fluid line leak checks and full vehicle power-on system checks.
  • Identify and implement continuous improvement projects for area safety and efficiency.
  • Perform routine maintenance functions such as daily clean-up of work areas, support 5S, FOD, and ESD procedures.
  • Other duties as assigned or otherwise beneficial to fulfilling the mission and vision.
Qualifications & Requirements:
  • High School diploma or GED 3+ years direct experience in aerospace manufacturing, integration, or other relevant field.
  • Ability to work effectively with a strong work ethic and close attention to detail in a fast-paced dynamic team environment with rapidly changing roles and responsibilities.
  • Ability to interpret engineering models, drawings, specifications, written work instructions, and test procedures.
  • Ability to adapt and thrive in a multifaceted work environment.
  • Basic computer skills such as Windows, Microsoft Office, etc.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills.
  • Ability to climb ladders/stairs and work in small restricted areas and at heights.
  • Perform repetitive work including lifting of heavy items,

  • Experience working with and the fabrication and assembly of close tolerance metalic and composite structures, precision drilling and fastener installation.
  • Hands on experience in the installation and testing of flight rated actuated systems involving pneumatic and fluid tubing systems, electrical components, instrumentation and harness systems.
  • Experience with corrosion prevention, surface coatings, thermal protective systems, cork application and bonding. Industry certification, trade school training and/or degree in related field.
  • Military experience
