Job Summary:

A position at QCT in San Jose office is available for an enthusiastic and experienced Telco Solution Engineer to contribute to the solution development, support and validation of QCT Telco solution. The primary responsibilities include mix of overseeing industry trend, collaborating with key ISVs, planning telco solution, implementing new telco related features, assisting customers & partners resolve problems they are facing while instantiating telco solutions. The secondary responsibilities may also include, but not limited to conducting on-site deployments and providing training to both internal partners and external customers, as well as providing technical support at QCT sponsored pre-sales and marketing events globally. This role provides extremely great opportunity to take the challenge and develop your skills. You will have the opportunity to work with the latest hardware and software technologies in QCT Telco Solution Center.

Job Responsibilities:

  • Develop deep and solid domain knowledge in cloud solutions technologies for telco industry, such as SDN, NFV, Open vSwitch, OpenFlow, OpenDaylight, Open CORD, … etc.
  • Manage the Telco Lab operation and participate in the execution of Telco Lab long-term development plan.
  • Develop and test the software code that is required to complete the end-to-end Telco solution implementation, as required.
  • Work with internal cross-functional teams and external partners to develop and execute the Telco solution integration plans.
  • Validate and optimize the Telco solution architecture.

Job Requirements (Includes Education/Years of Experience):

Educational background:

  • Bachelor degree in EE (Electrical/Electronic Engineering), CS (Computer Science) or related fields is minimum; Master or higher degree in the related fields is preferred
  • 3+ years (for Masters) or 5+ years (for Bachelors) of working experience in data communication or telecommunication area is highly desirable

Working experience and specialized technical skills:

  • Proficient with data networking infrastructure (gateway/switch/router) architecture and control/data planes protocols
  • Familiar with cloud computing related technologies, such as virtualization, private/public/hybrid cloud data centers infrastructure, SDN, NFV, …, etc.
  • Prior hands-on experience working on telco related solutions and open source development environment highly desired
  • Mastering in Linux development environment is must
