Role: Interaction designer will transform complex concepts into intuitive, accessible, and easy-to-use designs. You will be expected to coordinate with creative leads and business development teams in order to build products that reflect the rapidly-changing needs of the market. You will also drive and execute detailed designs (interaction, visual), facilitate a rapid design and development process, and coordinate with PM/Eng partners to realize the vision for emerging ads, best practices, and design principles.
Create new designs, including (but not limited to) user flows, wireframes, mocks, and prototypes.
Communicate design intent to stakeholders. Clearly rationalize and justify design work and advocate for users- needs.
Collaborate effectively on a team and be willing to explore all options. Design is grounded in constraints, which serve as boundaries to work within and barriers to creatively overcome. The craft is knowing when to conform and when to push the edge.
Work closely with user researchers to better inform designs through users- point of view.
Deliver the designs for each release by following through on details with the Engineering team and driving fit-and-finish polish.
BA/BS degree in Design (e.g. interaction, graphic, visual communications, product, industrial), Human-Computer Interaction (HCI), Computer Science (CS), or a related field 5+ years of UI/UX design in digital products and responsive web design Strong knowledge of Sketch, Adobe Illustrator, and Google Suite (slides, sheets, docs) Tactical hands on design capabilities + ability to present solutions aligned to strategic goals Strong project management skills Excellent critical thinking and communication skills Ability to follow existing design guidelines to create design patterns Experience working with user research and applying it into your design Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously and work under ambitious timeframes in a fast paced, high-pressure environment.
Experience with data-driven decision making and building enterprise tools.
Experience with animation and prototyping: After-Effects, Camtasia, InVision
Understanding of technical requirements, technical constraints and limitations as they apply to designing for platforms such as desktop and mobile, Android and iOS.
Scrappy (e.g., be able to jump in and get your hands dirty, find the right balance between cost and quality to fit the need) to deliver what is needed.
Experience in designing usable mobile interfaces from pre- to post-launch.
Tactical hands on design capabilities + ability to present solutions aligned to strategic goals
