As an UI Implementation Artist, you will collaborate with the Design, UX and Engineering teams to implement features and maintain UI systems, help build rapid prototypes, hook up states, data, and animation using the Blueprint Visual Scripting system in the Unreal Engine. You will also work with Engineering to optimize workflow with suggested tools to aid in the UI development process. This is both an artistic and technically oriented art position. Working as an UI Implementation Artist requires a combination of art and design sensibilities, technical knowledge related to the game dev environment, and a high degree of communication and collaboration. As a member of the team, you will help your fellow team members to continue to meet and raise the quality bar at the studio.
Design and Implement memory efficient artwork into the Unreal game engine
Script UI using the Blueprint Visual Scripting system in the Unreal Engine
Ensure UI assets are optimal as possible by balancing the art needs with tech restraints
Work with various teams to ensure UI assets and features are functioning correctly in the client
Collaborate with other artists in various sub-disciplines as needed
+2 years of experience in Tech Art or UI Art for games
Experience working with Unreal Engine
Experience with industry standard art creation pipelines, workflows and tools
Willingness to roll-up sleeves and directly contribute to all aspects of the art/creative process
Experience working and collaborating with with developers in various disciplines
Strong written and oral communication skills
Experience working in one or more related disciplines - art, animation, technical art, visual effects
Experiencing working on a AAA game title
Experience working with external partners . Familiar with the basic outsource workflow.
Experience with basic scripting languages such as Python or Mel
