About the Team
NCR’s Customer Experience Design (CXD) team influences design thinking, strategy, and execution throughout the customer journey of numerous products, and contributes design leadership and oversight to increase product teams’ understanding of the factors that influence behavior, drive engagement and increase delight.

About the Role
CXD’s UX/UI Designers partner with stakeholders throughout the product development lifecycle – from the early planning stages, through product development, and following launch – to ensure that customer considerations influence UX/UI designs intended for current and future product releases.
UX/UI Designers facilitate design thinking sessions and discovery workshops, generate proof of concept prototypes and deliver design specifications as part of Agile teams.
The UX/UI Designer is responsible for:
Collaborating with product development teams to refine design options, validate and refine those options through iterative feedback and testing, and ensure acceptance through customer validation efforts.
Contributing to the peer review of design work from other CXD team members and enforcing adherence to and refinement of enterprise design guidelines and patterns.
At least 3-5 years of UX/UI Design experience in client-side or agency-side settings.
Online portfolio containing work samples representing complex system design (e.g., flows, wireframes, interactions, prototypes) for web and mobile experiences.
Demonstrated experience influencing UX strategy and contributing to UX execution of interactive design work for multiple clients and/or projects.
The ideal candidate will possess the following traits:
Passion for design and eagerness to collaborate with other creative contributors in Agile project teams that are both co-located and geographically distributed.
Ability to work both independently and collaboratively with tight deadlines, and multi-task efficiently in high volume, fast paced settings.
Strong communication skills to confidently present to various audience types and seniority levels, and an ability to drive discussions that communicate ideas quickly, effectively and persuasively.
Commitment to best practices, user advocacy, and thought leadership that drive positive outcomes focused on high levels of quality and innovation.
The candidate will possess knowledge of the following:
User experience and interaction design fundamentals across a range of digital products and applications for enterprise and e-commerce platforms.
Use of existing interface libraries and guidelines to shape design contributions and experience evolving enterprise pattern libraries and interface guidelines.
Capabilities and limitations of presentation-layer technologies like HTML5, CSS3, jQuery, Bootstrap, Angular and React, among others, like WPF and .NET.
Responsive Web Design and Mobile First fundamentals.
Web Accessibility principles and familiarity with WCAG 2.0 is a plus.
iOS Human Interface Guidelines and Android Material Design guidelines.
Familiarity or proficiency with Adobe Creative Cloud/Suite is a plus.
Experience in the financial, retail, hospitality, & travel industries is a plus.

Represent the customer needs through discovery, business process flows, customer journey mapping, persona development, etc.
Ability to design/prototype high visual-fidelity solutions using Sketch and InVision.
Ability to design/prototype high functional-fidelity solutions using Axure.
