Position: UX/UI/Interaction Designer
Location: New York, NY / Atlanta, GA (REMOTE)
Summary of Job:
Client is an independent investment management firm dedicated to delivering an investment experience that helps people get more out of life. Our mission is to find greater possibilities for your investment portfolio — whether you’re investing for your family or for your clients.
Client’s Digital Experience team is during a massive digital transformation, and we support the business through several core disciplines and capabilities. Our UX/Product Design team is seeking a UX/UI designer to join us in support of our QQQ product line and our NCAA sponsorship initiatives. You’ll be working side-by-side with other designers, developers, and product mangers to create pixel-perfect, best-in-class digital experiences for our customers.
You’ll have the opportunity to work on high-profile, immersive digital experiences that rely heavily on motion & animation, bold data visualization, the incorporation of CGI elements, and potentially creating video games that support our business initiatives. This role requires an extremely creative individual with hands-on design skills, a high level of taste, expertise in UX/UI & interaction, and the ability to design experiences that tell stories with a focus on innovation. This is an opportunity to set new trends for our brand and our industry.
Who We’re Looking For?
This role requires a designer with an extremely high bar for visual styles and interaction with skills that lean heavily to the creative side of user experience. We are looking for a designer who obsesses over every font size, every hex value, the ideal line-heights, the perfect amount of padding, and experiences that have premium interactions. Having versatility and previous experience in traditional UX, research, testing, and digital strategy is a bonus, however it is not the core focus of this role.
You must submit a portfolio that showcases your visual style and your work history in web, campaign, and app design to be considered. This is a hands-on UI/Product Design position, and the right candidate must be able to create beautiful final designs that are ready to move into development.
You will be spending your days creating designs and layouts, building prototypes in InVision, scouring the web to assess trends, and meeting with teammates and partners to share work and brainstorm. You will be responsible for projects throughout all stages of the design cycle. This includes concepting and ideation as projects are kicking-off, sketching and wireframing, creating low-to-hi fidelity prototypes, designing interactions/movement, and ultimately, designing the final UI. This role is ideal for a designer with a deep understanding of digital best-practices, responsive design, and an unquestionably keen eye.
