Responsibilities:


We're seeking a UI Designer, who is a passionate visual storyteller.


You must be a strategic thinker that possesses a sophisticated visual aesthetic, has a dedication to curiosity and learning, and is in love with the convergence of design and technology.


UI Designers directly shape the full spectrum of Client's digital experiences and business channels serving ~10 million active customers, evolving and enhancing Client and all customer-facing applications, offerings, products, information, and tools, as well as our multi-channel customer-service experiences, business partner and operational portals, and native mobile apps.


As a UI Designer, you will be a key member of a high-performing and innovative group of strategists, content writers, researchers, and developers driven to help define and deliver end-to-end digital experiences that simplify the complex across digital platforms and devices. You will partner closely with stakeholders in Product, IT, Marketing, Operations, and Analytics to achieve high-value outcomes, and position design effectively to pursue and deliver innovative, experience-led product strategies.


You'll be a key contributor to Agile teams validating business hypotheses and supporting delivery through design.

What You'll Do (List job responsibilities) Description % of Time Spent


Create beautiful, world-class designs that are engaging, visually delightful, well organized, and that resonate emotionally with users


Plan, participate in and complete design activities throughout the product and service life-cycle, from building understanding and empathy, through ideation, product definition, iterative design and delivery, going-to-market, and evolution


Draw from the full spectrum of design practices to improve customer experiences from end to end


Approach visual design holistically, ensuring consistency of reusable patterns across the product experience


Design within an established overall visual brand and extend that visual system


Work collaboratively with partner making disciplines such as Engineering, and Product Management on framing problems, discovering insights, crafting effective strategies, articulating strong experience-centered visions, defining concepts and prototypes, and guiding iterative development of new and existing offerings


Participate in simultaneous efforts for a key customer segment or group of related product and service offerings across digital and real-world channels


Define and communicate intended end-to-end user experiences to product development audiences and stakeholders


Participate in research efforts to validate hypotheses and assumptions, generate insights, and gather feedback for enhancing user experiences


Contribute to the evolution of design systems supporting products, services, and interactions across applications, form factors, and channels


Work closely with the business by being the voice of the customer and balancing business goals and user satisfaction


Educate partners and peers from other disciplines on user experience


Facilitate group collaboration and drive team to consensus.

What You Have Minimum: Indicate minimum education, skills and experience required.



Bachelor's Degree in Design, Human Computer Interaction, related degree, or equivalent professional experience


3+ yrs. experience designing digital products, services, and experiences, including web-based, mobile, desktop, agentive, embedded


Expertise in all facets of visual design: typography, color, grid/layout, hierarchy of information


You have a strong understanding of current Visual/UI best practices


Fluent in responsive design, adaptative design, design thinking, and mobile first UI/UX


Rigorous approach to design technique, with careful attention to detail and heart for experimenting, all while maintaining agility and openness


Understanding of user-centric design methods and processes, design thinking, and empathic lenses for problem-solving


High-proficiency with contemporary tools for expressing design guidance and illustrating intended experiences


Strong collaboration, facilitation and communication skills



Knowledge of Accessibility (WCAG Compliance) standards
