You will combine interfaces and workflows to enhance user experience.

In this role, you should be an analytical and creative designer who is able to grasp user needs and solve problems. A strong portfolio of successful UX and other technical projects is essential. Ultimately, you will make our product more user-friendly and intuitive to attract and retain customers.

In your first 30 days you can expect to be inundated with information about our platform and what it needs to scale and succeed through the next decade and beyond. You will work closely with Design, Product, and Tech to create experiences that address the immediate needs, while anticipating future possibilities and problems on the horizon. At Co-op we value a well-rounded skill set, you need to have the ability to move agilely through the ever-evolving technical space, and the soft-skills to interface with co-workers across departments and lines of business.

  • Create sitemaps, user flows, wireframes, mid-to-high fidelity static mockups, and Figma prototypes.
  • Synthesize research.
  • Prepare and lead collaborative design workshops.
  • Regularly test and validate solutions with users Interact and communicate directly with the client.
  • Collaborate closely with other team members.
  • Actively participate in an agile design process, including contributing to story creation, daily standups, etc.
  • Understand product specifications and user psychology.
  • Conduct concept and usability testing and gather feedback.
  • Create personas through user research and data.
  • Define the right interaction model and evaluate its success.
  • Develop wireframes and prototypes around customer needs.
  • Find creative ways to solve UX problems (e.g. usability, findability).
  • Work with UI designers to implement attractive designs.
  • Communicate design ideas and prototypes to developers.
  • Keep abreast of competitor products and industry trends.
  • Regular and reliable attendance.
  • Responsible for reporting risks that are identified to the appropriate team and/or management. Additionally, responsible for managing, monitoring and reporting risks within the scope of your work area, to include, but not limited to Information Security risks.

  • Strong knowledge of user experience conventions and principles.
  • Thorough understanding of responsive design and ability to create high fidelity designs for all viewports for hand-off to developers.
  • Experience in design based on Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG).
  • Familiarity with Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA) compliance requirements.
  • Demonstrated knowledge of security concepts and secure code development techniques.
  • Experience working with complex subject matters.
  • Superior ability to manage stakeholder conversations.
  • Significant experience and comfort with user interviews.
  • Ability to wireframe.
  • Excellent visual, verbal, and written communication skills.
  • Comfort leading meetings and facilitating design discussions and exercises.
  • Strong desire to quickly externalize and test your designs.
  • Strong process orientation.
  • Excellent problem-solving and relationship management skills.
  • Comfort in a fast-paced environment.
  • Proven experience as a UX Designer, UI Designer or similar role.
  • Strong portfolio of design projects.
  • Background in project management and research.
  • Strong familiarity with interaction design and information architecture.
  • Proficient in design software (e.g. Figma, Proto.io, etc.).
  • Knowledge of HTML/CSS; JavaScript is a plus.
  • Problem-solving aptitude.
  • Ability to clearly communicate your design decisions with partners and influence the shape of the product using research, user journeys, interactive prototypes, and high-quality wireframes.
  • Analytical mind with a business acumen.
  • Strong knowledge of user experience conventions and principles.

  • Bachelor's degree or higher in related area and 3 years of experience in UX design or software development or equivalent experience and training.
  • Minimum 5 years of UI and UX design experience for software web applications, Enterprise B2B products preferred.
  • Must have proven experience as a UI designer with strong visual design skills and ability to create design systems.
  • Strong understanding of UX design, knowledge of UX best practices, and the ability to create wireframes, user journeys and prototypes.
  • Proficient with industry standard programs (i.e. Sketch, Figma, Framer, Illustrator, Photoshop, Invision).
  • Understanding of HTML and CSS.
  • Experience in research, usability testing, product analytics, and turning the output into data that can drive product design decisions.
  • Self-sufficient, able to manage workload to meet project deadlines. Ability to multi-task in a fast-paced environment and to make trade-offs when needed to optimize outcome when conditions change.


For Colorado Applicants: In accordance with the Colorado Equal Pay for Equal Work Act, the expected salary range for this Colorado position is between:
$96,000.00 - $122,000.00

Actual Pay will be adjusted based on experience and other job-related factors permitted by law.
