The next level (the must-haves):
VCP-NV and VCP-DCV certifications are strongly desired.
CCNP (in R/S, SP, Data Center or Security) are strongly desired.
Proven experience in designing, deploying and managing VMware NSX deployments.
Demonstrated experience with network overlay technologies like VXLAN, OTV and EVPN/BGP.
Experience with Spine-Leaf (Clos) network topologies and popular switching hardware designed for use in these types of environments.
Network components and concepts such as:
Familiarity with automation or orchestration using Cloud Management Platforms is strongly preferred.
5+ years of customer facing experience.
Strong virtualization/networking troubleshooting skills.
Working knowledge of various Operating System types.
Works well with teams as well as individually
Candidates must be able to travel up to 35% of the time. The next level continued (would be nice to have):
Higher level VMware Network Virtualization certifications preferred (VCIX-NV, VCDX-NV).
Higher level Cisco certifications preferred (CCIE in R/S, SP, Data Center or Security).
Proven experience in designing, deploying and managing Cisco ACI environments.
Experience with VMware s vRealize Suite and SRM
Working knowledge of load-balancing, firewalling, and micro-segmentation
Able to mentor other engineers
