Job Description

The Value Analysis Coordinator collaborates to identify, analyze, determine, and implement best practices and expense management initiatives, collectively known as the Value Analysis Process. The Value Analysis Coordinator coordinates with Physicians, vendors, Materials Management, and other care providers, to ensure products/vendors promote stewardship (via adherence to standardization of product or cost reduction) while providing high quality products for safe patient care.

Required Qualifications :
* Associates Degree in Healthcare or Business
* Minimum of five (5) years of relevant work experience in a healthcare; including leadership or coordination of teams, programs, quality improvement, analysis, or operations
* Proficient skills in MS Office Applications, various teleconferencing applications (i.e. WebEx), Internet/Intranet, Cerner Reporting Tools, etc.

Preferred Qualifications:
* Bachelor's Degree in Healthcare or Business
* Experience in product evaluation, standardization, utilization analysis, and contract conversion
* Experience in Supply Chain
* Certified Pubic Purchasing Officer (CPPO)
* Certified Materials Resource Professional (from AHRMM)
* Experience in CDI/CPT Coding
* Knowledge of hospital and professional reimbursement methods and billing Duties and Responsibilities:
* Co-chairs Value Analysis Executive Committee with Physician Leadership
* Primary contact for new product submissions
* Utilizes internal/external data sources (i.e. Group Purchasing Organization) to support the Materials Management Director in identifying cost saving opportunities such as: reduction and/or standardization of supplies, price irregularities, and contract compliance
* Compiles data utilizing analytics and auditing tools to support the product/vendor selection
* Maintains data via appropriate databases, dashboards, spreadsheets or designated forms
* Provides timely and effective communication (both verbal and written) to various levels of the organization (as necessary)
* Tracks project initiative savings and trial usage; providing quantitative summaries for evaluation
* Ensures completion of conversion checklists on approved items
* Assists the Materials Management Department and Operating Room Inventory with charge master and system interface issues
* Utilizes strong facilitation/negotiation skills when participating in vendor contract negotiations Physical Demands and Environmental Work Conditions:
* Daily computer use may be required
