The Bank of New York Mellon seeks a Vice President, Full-Stack Engineer II for its New York, NY location.
DUTIES: Consult with internal business groups to provide appropriate application software development services or technical support. Provide application software development services or technical support in more complex situations. Responsible for requirements gathering and BRD/SRD preparation with thorough knowledge of the Software Development Life Cycle. Conduct reviews of the test Plan and test Data. Coordinate the technical design, development and documentation of cross-functional, multi-platform application systems. Analyze, define and document requirements for data, workflow, and logical processes and interfaces with other systems. Ensure that expected application performance levels are achieved by coordinating, coding, testing, implementation and documentation. Program well-designed, testable, efficient code. Develop flowcharts, layouts and documentation to satisfy requirements and solutions. Maintain software functionality and currency (technical debt and gain). Actively participate in code reviews. Apply security and privacy principles. Execute full lifecycle software development. Develop software verification plans and quality assurance procedures. Troubleshoot, debug and upgrade existing systems. Ensure software is updated with latest features. Use learning tools such as Pluralsight to complete both recommended and aspirational targets set in personal development plans. Provide ongoing maintenance, support and enhancements in existing systems and platforms. Leverage existing products/functionality and promote reuse. Work alongside other engineers on the team to elevate technology and consistently apply best practices. Collaborate cross-functionally with data engineers, business users, project managers and other engineers to achieve elegant solutions. Compile documentation written by more senior developers of all procedures used in system.
REQUIREMENTS: Bachelor's degree, or foreign equivalent, in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or a related field, and seven (7) years of experience in the job offered or in a related IT occupation. Seven (7) years of experience must include: Understanding and accessing current PeopleSoft Finance technical architecture and identity migration requirements to implement technical solutions for Oracle Cloud ERP for mandatory modules including General Ledger, Accounts Payables, Accounts Receivables, Travel and Expense, Cash Management, Project Costing, Fixed Asset; Designing and developing integration, reports, and UI tool frameworks using Oracle Cloud Components including Oracle Integration Cloud (OIC), Oracle Visual Builder Cloud Service (VBCS), Oracle BI Publisher, Oracle Financial Report Web Studio, Oracle Cloud Infrastructure Console (OCI), and Autonomous Database/ APEX -PAAS components; Performing integration between schedule tool Control M and Oracle Integration Cloud (OIC); Performing upgrades with Oracle Integration Cloud (OIC) to Gen3; and Utilizing PeopleSoft finance application designer tools, data migration and integration strategies, CI Based web Services and REST APIs creation, PeopleSoft PSQuery, PS Nvision, and SQR for data analysis and presentation.
