The Company is located in West Haven, CT.
This position will be located in either our West Haven, CT or Boston location.
Reports to CEO. You will have a staff (manage) of 3 full time employees plus 2 consultants. This is a roll-up-the-sleeves job.
** Candidates MUST have experience working for a software (not services / not hardware) company **
Responsible for all marketing activity reporting to the CEO
Create a marketing program based on goals set by the executive team, sales leaders, and board
Manage and nurture the existing inbound marketing program
Develop an outbound marketing program for lead generation
Develop and nurture a channel marketing program
Work with the VP, Sales to create a revenue plan to achieve revenue goals
Develop and clarify messaging
Create a modern-looking website that communicates the company value propositions
Develop a marketing communications function
Focus on creating data-driven, repeatable, scalable, and predictable processes and metrics
Experiment before committing in the lean startup style
Outstanding manager and mentor
Willingness to accept participatory responsibility for revenue goals
Strong communicator / excellent presentation and writing skills
Willing to be a hands-on contributor
Must have led marketing for a $10M to $100M software (not services / not hardware) company
Ideal candidate has marketed IT infrastructure software
Demonstrated ability to create and grow a marketing program
Strong experience in inbound marketing, outbound marketing, and content strategies
Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience
