Job Description

The Voip Network Engineer will be responsible for the design, support, installation, and maintenance of network infrastructure, related technologies, and equipment, including phones. This candidate must have the ability to maintain local area networks and wireless network components including firewalls, routers, switches, and wireless access points as well as troubleshoot network connectivity issues. As a member of this team, you will also perform project work to update and replace legacy network equipment.

RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Troubleshoot wireless and wired connection issues
  • Manage switching, routing, and wireless network equipment
  • Configure VLAN, SSID, DHCP, DNS, and other network protocols
  • Perform mid to advanced level Cisco UC administration, implementation and troubleshooting of CUCM, CUC, UCCX, CUPS, CUBE, bber, and supporting infrastructure
  • Experience with configuring and troubleshooting multicast
  • Automation of repetitive tasks to drive efficiencies; create documentation for future reference
  • Responsible for providing updates and feedback to users regarding efforts to resolve complex issues
  • Manage multiple tasks and issues at the same time and maintain service level agreements
  • Partake in On-Call hours per the rotating schedule
  • All other duties as assigned

REQUIREMENTS

EXPERIENCE & PREFERRED CERTIFICATIONS

  • 5+ years of experience as a Voip Network Engineer
  • 5-7 years of comprehensive knowledge and experience in Cisco Call Manager (CUCM/Unity)
  • 5-7 years of experience in IP & VoIP networking, data communications and systems engineering with an understanding and perience dealing with multi-service IP networks, data network strategies, multi-vendor equipment and network protocols
  • Preferred Network+ and/or CCNA routing and switching, wireless, or collaboration
  • Strong troubleshooting ability with network equipment
  • Familiarity with Cisco Meraki gear
