WLAN Systems Engineer, MidKey RoleMaintain responsibility for the design, development, and integration of communication systems. Apply knowledge of radio frequency (RF) and wireless local area network (WLAN) theory and industry best practices to design end-to-end solutions based on client requirements. Exhibit knowledge of Wi-Fi fundamentals, security, site surveying, installation and deployment considerations, and troubleshooting.
Basic Qualifications:-2+ years of experience with wireless and networking in end-to-end engineering and business capacities to deploy mobile capabilities-2+ years of experience with conducting WLAN enterprise site surveys and network designs-2+ years of experience with routing and switching fundamentals-Top Secret clearance
Additional Qualifications:-Experience with various WLAN topologies, including indoor, outdoor, high-density, campus, mesh, remote, and industrial-Experience with WLAN survey tools, including Ekahau and AirMagnet-Experience with AAA and identity-based access solutions for WLAN deployments-Experience with wireless intrusion detection and prevention systems, including WIDS and WIPS-Knowledge of PKI implementation, including X.509 Certificates and certificate authorities-Ability to regularly monitor new WLAN and mobile technology, in addition to vendor and industry landscape-Ability to be a self-starter and work independently, readily communicate, coordinate, and consult with greater internal and client teams to drive solutions towards completion and implementation-Possession of excellent oral and written communication skills to develop technical briefs and convey complex technical topics to a diverse audience-BA or BS degree-Certified Wireless Network Administrator (CWNA)
