Associate's or bachelor's degree in a computer science, technology, engineering or math-related field and 3+ years work experience or equivalent experience. Proven experience as an IT professional. Ability to obtain certification(s) in an IT related field is a plus. Basic knowledge of insurance and financial services products preferred. Excellent planning, organizational, problem-solving, analytical, decision-making and communication skills required. Proficiency with database applications, knowledge of mainframe, distributed and/or web programming language. Basic leadership and presentation skills required. Excellent time management skills preferred. Must be able to maintain a high degree of accuracy and confidentiality. Must have the desire to learn new technology and continuously grow. Ability to work on cross-functional teams and collaborate with both It and non-IT partners. May be required to provide on-call support. Independently conducts analysis and development, requirements, coding, automated testing, debugging, designing, documentation, quality assurance review, implementation and maintenance. We utilize Agile/SAFe in the Application Platform Services (APS) and will be utilizing the contractor to fulfill both Operational and Feature work on an ongoing basis. Program Increments (PIs) are slated over a 10 week period, with five "2 week sprints" comprising a PI. Day-to-day responsibilities include building/maintaining web hosting infrastructure, managing Web Application Firewall/Load Balancing for the organization, troubleshooting system and performance issues in the Web Hosting space. This position includes regular on-call rotation, including nights and weekends. 5. What technologies or systems will this contractor be utilizing? • IIS/Windows • Apache/Linux • Shell scripting • F5 Load Balancers • Ansible • Windows/PowerShell Scripting • Bit bucket • Wireshark 6. If a candidate does not have all the technologies listed, would there be technologies you would consider "similar" and/or "transferable" for this position? • Experience setting up and troubleshooting other types of web servers (NGINX, etc.) • Experience with other types of load balancers (Cisco, Citrix, etc.) • Experience with configuration management (infrastructure as code)
