The WebSphere Lead will be a member of a Web & Mobile Services team responsible for implementing WebSphere Product Suite (Portal, WCM, and Search) to support Ortho’s internal and external facing portals. The WebSphere Lead will engage in all phases of the development lifecycle including: requirements gathering, specification review and approval, application architecture, collaborating with external teams to make applications work together, application implementation and debugging/troubleshooting, fixing defects and supporting test team, application deployment and maintenance, scrum and agile concepts, working closely with business partners, continuous integration, unit testing, code reviews, automated builds. The Responsibilities: • Demonstrates the ability to independently gather business requirements, design technical solution and implement solution, either alone or by coordinating with other IT resources • Develops, recommends, and applies new concepts, techniques, systems, and technologies within assigned area of expertise • Consistently demonstrates initiative to acquire and utilize new technical skills within job function • Delivers technical solutions that meet Business Requirements, IT technical standards and is sustainable in the planned productive environment • Detail-oriented, able to multi-task and prioritize • Self-starter, ability to work independently with strong initiative • Perform other work related duties as assigned.
