Bachelors degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or similar degree.

10+ years of experience installing, configuring, tuning, and supporting both Windows Linux servers.

7+ years of work experience in a heavily used, highly available, 24x7 enterprise platform.

Firm knowledge of server hardware, SAN, and networking technologies, as well as common protocols such as TCP/IP, HTTP, and SSL.

Strong knowledge in PowerShell scripting and/or Bash scripting experience for the automation of day-to-day tasks.

Strong experience in monitoring application performance and server health with tools such as New Relic, Nagios, and Splunk.

Strong Experience working in AWS creating complete working environments for non-prod and production environments.

Excellent ability to interpret and apply complex technical information to solve difficult problems.

Strong understanding in developing scripts for automation of day-to-day tasks (Perl, Shell, Java, or similar).

Ability to interpret and apply complex technical information to solve difficult problems.

Proven experience with systems planning, security principles, and general IT Operations management best practices.

Highly self-motivated and directed, with keen attention to detail.

Strong understanding of change management.

Strong knowledge of computer systems architecture, including high-availability, fault-tolerant systems.

Excellent written and verbal communication, mentoring, and problem-solving skills.

Ability to prioritize and execute tasks in a highly-pressure environment.

Experience managing teams with Kanban or Scrum.


Design and implement systems to support development life cycle.

Organized and lead system focused technical projects and coordinates the efforts of lower level engineers for assigned projects or systems.

Train, mentor, and support other Engineers.

Bring a strong technical foundation including databases, web and application servers, virtualization, networking, and storage; in addition to, how these function in a highly scalable, highly available environment

Effectively and professionally interact with development team and provide expert technical guidance for products as well as shared IT infrastructure.

Track and manage team/product deadlines, manage product back-logs, designs, address delivery impediments, and make assignments to team members.

Deployment of the Xactware suite of products.

Look beyond the obvious and manage continuous improvement opportunities and able to build action plans to improve the teams velocity, capacity, and quality.

Management and implementation of web applications including monitoring, tuning, troubleshooting, and optimizing the applications and the servers hosting them

Develop and maintain strong relationships with business and technical leaders as the primary point of contact of a product team.

Set priorities for BU teams, define roles and responsibilities, and delegate work effectively.

Ability to drive processes such as: incident management, change management, problem management, and resource planning.

Interface with Business Stakeholders on all complex projects, have the ability to present ideas and take charge of projects and update management on all escalated issues.

Demonstrate accountability while leading people with passion, enthusiasm, loyalty and integrity.

Own and lead HR processes such as performance reviews, talent development, etc.

Support enterprise security with auditing and compliance.

Must be willing to carry a cell phone, be on-call and occasionally work odd hours to help meet customer service level agreements; in addition, be an escalation point for entry, mid-level, and senior engineers.
