Taos is immediately hiring a full-time permanent Windows Citrix System Engineer to join our Managed Services team in Culver City, CA!

What you’ll be doing:

  • Acting as a core member of a team accountable for the uptime, stability, and security of global SPE Enterprise Windows Infrastructure
  • Providing recommendations on Windows Operating Systems (OS) related to both internal and external clients including requirements regarding servers, storage, network services, database support, and automation of redundant tasks
  • Troubleshooting Windows OS related issues and restoring service in a timely manner
  • Maintaining server availability and security, including infrastructure tools
  • Providing status reports to IT management and customers
  • Maintaining the system inventory including physical and virtual managed Operating Systems
  • Ensuring servers are monitored and backed up
  • Managing outages, identifying root cause, and resolving all server issues within allowed service levels
  • Participating in the change control, production acceptance, and event management processes
  • Identifying, resolving, and escalating issues as appropriate
  • Performing scheduled, standard patch management activity on Operating Systems
  • Participating in the development of operational procedures and policies
  • Performing installations and configurations of multiple Operating Systems and related components
  • Configuring, troubleshooting, optimizing, and managing Citrix infrastructure, including but not limited to XenApp, VDI, and NetScaler
  • Participating in Windows on-call rotation

What you’ll bring with you:

  • At least 5 years of practical experience designing and architecting a Citrix XenApp and VDI environment
  • Previous experience in large, heterogeneous Server Infrastructure environment
  • Excellent skills and knowledge in core Microsoft technologies and platforms, including Windows Server 2008 R2/2012, Active Directory, Group policy, IIS, DNS, DHCP, SQL Server
  • Strong experience with VMware vSphere and NetScaler
  • Experience in Service Provider x86 based Server Systems Administrations/Engineering (Intel Architecture, multi-vendor Blade systems)
  • Expertise with a variety of server/systems monitoring, analysis, management, and configuration tools
  • Ability to solve problems independently, quickly, and completely and communicate them clearly to upper management
  • Citrix Certified Associate - Virtualization(CCA-V) certification required, Citrix Certified Professional - Virtualization (CCP-V) or Citrix Certified Expert - Virtualization (CCE-V) certifications preferred
  • Advanced scripting and automation skills are a plus
