The Role

As a Specialist, Production Services Infrastructure Support (OpenText Rightfax), you will be part of a global team (located in Pittsburgh, Boston, India and Poland) which provides support and maintenance for several internal or Third Party application services, which are utilized by critical Lines of Business.

Aside from the 24x7 support, we are also responsible for software installs, upgrades and overall health, constantly looking for ways to automate and improve these processes and the application architecture, to provide the highest quality environment to our customers.

The application services supported by this group cover a wide variety of technologies: OS, virtual and physical servers, databases, middleware software, tools for monitoring, automation, and orchestration, etc.

Key Responsibilities:
  • L2/L3 Break/Fix support across multiple applications and environments
  • Maintenance including but not limited to software upgrades, user and application configurations and daily reviews of application and server health.
  • Provide architectural improvement suggestions to ensure application environments are running optimally
  • Support other team members effectively and collaboratively of varying technical expertise.
  • Process improvements through development, automation and orchestration

Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in computer science or a related discipline, or equivalent work experience required; advanced degree preferred

8 - 10 years of related infrastructure experience required; experience in the securities or financial services industry is a plus
  • 2+ years- experience with OpenText RightFax 16.4 or higher administration, installation, configuration, and end user support.
  • Possesses technical competencies and knowledge of application management strategies to design, install, configure and support third party vendor software to meet business requirements
  • Experience with supporting & administering applications running on Red Hat Enterprise Linux and Microsoft Windows platform
  • Experience with general IT concepts beyond their primary discipline
  • Familiarity with SQL Scripting
  • Strong written, verbal, and interpersonal communication skills.
  • Strong troubleshooting and analytical skills
  • Strong documentation abilities with a focus on detail.
  • Experience with SIP, FOIP and TDM voice technologies

Preferred:
  • Experience supporting fax, digital certificate, content management and web-based applications
  • Powershell, VB, Shell and or Python scripting
  • Familiarity with SSH Products, MQ, Websphere, Siteminder
  • Working knowledge of metrics generation and reporting
  • Hands on experience with GIT Repositories and Ansible playbooks
  • Ability to work independently and within a team in a fast-paced environment
    Designs, implements, integrates, and provides full support for software in a multi-tiered, multi-platform environment. Performs complex troubleshooting as a subject matter expert. Works to ensure appropriate monitoring and alerting setup. Works on root cause analysis and problem management to address underlying technical issues. Collaborates with business and application development stakeholders.

    Monitors infrastructure and respond to incidents, perform routine health checks and validations after changes or significant incidents, follows defined procedures for routine, low priority incident resolution.

    Escalate to second level infrastructure support for new or high priority incidents, Review and execute Change Management scripts.

    Contributes to major incident management calls for resolution of high priority incidents.May mentor or provide guidance for junior team members.
