Prestigious Enterprise Company is currently seeking a Sr. Splunk Monitoring Engineer. Candidate will implement, maintain, and enhance the systems, create user solutions, contribute to DevOps and cloud efforts, and optimize continued operations.

Responsibilities:

• Collaborate with cross functional Information Technology Services, Information Security, and business teams to achieve desired outcomes

• Establish trusting relationships across the enterprise

• Establish appropriate metrics and reporting on availability, performance, capacity, growth, and utilization

• Install and maintain systems for monitoring, log aggregation, search, and dashboarding

• Providing technical expertise to design most efficient and cost-effective solutions for Splunk, ELK, and other monitoring tools

• Evaluate technology standards, products, and the risks and benefits of technology introduction

• Define backup/recovery strategies and standards

• Provide certification and roll-out of upgrades and patches

• Develop and maintain operational procedures

• Automate repetitive tasks and performance tuning

• Ensure overall system and environment availability, performance, and capacity

• Engage in incident management, resolve complex issues, and provide long term solutions

• Participate in on-call on a rotation schedule but also be available to assist with during major issue or outages

Qualifications:

• 5-7 years of elaborating and relevant Information Technology experience

• At least 2 years of full time experience working as a Splunk Administrator/engineer

• Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering, Computer Sciences, any related field, or equivalent experience

• Experience using or administering Linux and Windows operating systems

• Fluent in Bash, Python, and Ruby scripting

• Ability to work and collaborate effectively in a team environment

• Ability to communicate clearly, effectively, persuasively with technology and business stakeholders

• Motivated to learn new technologies and identify process improvements and efficiencies

• Ability to adapt to change while continuing to deliver on assigned objectives

• Strong verbal and written communication skills
