Job Description

Ability to provide console remote,
Ability to install drivers and configure,
Ability to provide physical support for mounting of DC HW, basic connectivity establishment and SOP
Ability to replace allowed HW components (such as HDD, memory)
Ability to work with various assessment tools to identify the different hardware models available
Ability to test the compatibility of Windows 7/8.1/10 Image with the various Hardware models available, where needed

Ability to troubleshoot local network and phone related issues including cabling challenges

Ability to coordinate with telecom vendors


Hardware Knowledge Multiple Vendor product. Clear technical understanding of native remote management (remote console) tools. Isolating hardware issues via troubleshooting.

Operating System - Desktop


Ability to Install,Configure Servers OS using SOP
Ability to Install Server Roles and configure Roles using SOP / support
Ability to do SOP based support for servers and other DC devices
Ability to provided hands and feet support
Ability to perform batch jobs - per SOP provided
Ability to use built-in tools like Sysprep, DISM
Ability to understand the different types of OS images required by the Customer


Install, Configure and manage servers; Help troubleshoot server issues and escalated client issues;
Working knowledge on AD Users and Group administration, FSMO Roles, Site & Subnets
Install, Configure and manage multiple Client OS ; Help troubleshoot client OS issues; Knowledge on various OS servicing tools like DISM, Sysprep etc

Exchange & Mobility Clients


Ability to configure multiple mail boxes,
Ability configure rules and Calenders, configure extended calendars
Ability to customize (such as signature, meeting)


Troublesoot NDRs, tracking emails, Knowledge of Mobility server/device

End Point Security (data encryption, AV, DLP, desktop firewall, VPN, AD policies)


Ability to provide hands and feet support during application server troubleshooting (such as check Synchronization issues on server).

Ability to Install Configure AV as per SOP
Ability to test and troubleshoot issues related to including AV, SCCM client etc in the image.
Ability to understand the working and configuration of DLP, various VPN solutions
Ability to carry out basic administrative tasks (such as DB cleanup, Create policies)
Ability to provide support for client end related issues.


Exposure to native & 3rd party antivirus management tools along with understanding of Virus definitions/signature update, etc Knowledge about Virus, spam, trojans, spyware, etc. Setup and Configuration. This is a good to have copetency; Basic Knowledge of data encryption, AV, DLP, desktop firewall, VPN, AD policies

User Profile (local / central / roaming)


Ability to detect and migrate\Backup\Restore different types of User profiles, using various tools Ability to test the backup solution and provide feedback on problems / errors encountered Ability to troubleshoot known errors and apply fixes as recommended


Knowledge of different types of User Profiles Knowledge to detect and troubleshoot issues related to User profile migration
Knowledge of VDI management using different third party tools (such as CITRIX)

Client Applications
(LOB applications - Eg. Asset software client, SAP, distribution SW client,Productivity SW.Etc)


Ability to provide escalation support for application related issues
Ability to collect logs, interpret the logs
Ability to communicate with OEM / Application owners in the troubleshooting process
Ability to provide specialized application support (such as BFSI sector specific, engineering sector specific) Ability to test (using any available tool ) application compatibility with the Image OS
Ability to work with various tools like SCCM, used to deploy applications
Ability to provide escalation support for application related issues
Ability to collect logs, interpret the logs
Ability to communicate with OEM / Application owners in the troubleshooting process


Installation and configuration of client applications and basic troubleshooting, including specialized applications of industry specific or technology specific (client side voice equipment support in BPO or BFSI application support, or engineering application support or mobility client support which are of latest technologies) Installation and configuration of client applications and basic troubleshooting, Good to have ability to understand application packages
Experience in testing application compatibility
