Job Description

Our client is an integrated managed healthcare organization. Their IT department is nimble and dynamic and works with cutting-edge technologies. They are currently in need of a Program Manager.

This position is remote. But the candidate has to be based out of any one of the states listed below.

California, Colorado, Washington, Oregon, and Georgia.

This senior-level employee is primarily responsible for end-to-end delivery management of valuable features and enhancements by partnering with Product, Architects, Design leads, and Engineering.

Other responsibilities include maintaining the financial health of the program (5-10 million), identifying and mitigating risks and issues, and leading engagement and communication with departmental or cross-functional teams.

  • Facilitates planning and ceremonies; supports Product. Architects, Engineering and Design leads in strategic planning, prioritization, and value delivery
  • Conducts or oversees business-specific programs by applying deep expertise in the subject area; promoting adherence to Agile-based development and delivery across onshore/offshore delivery teams.
  • Solving complex problems; Support identifying and mitigating issues or risks, as appropriate; monitoring progress and results; recognizing and capitalizing on improvement opportunities; evaluating recommendations made, and influencing the completion of the program.
  • Practices self-leadership and promotes learning in others by building relationships with cross-functional stakeholders; communicating information and providing advice to drive projects forward; influencing team members within the assigned unit.
  • Manages and monitors the program financials of multiple large projects (5-10 million dollars)
  • Monitors and controls overall project performance and quality against plan and makes adjustments as needed.
  • Promotes adherence to established processes and policies (e.g. SDLC including domain standards, Kaiser standards).
  • Manages the work of large project teams by monitoring internal and external resources.
  • Ensures the alignment, buy-in, engagement, and support of diverse project stakeholders by building and maintaining relationships as well as communicating appropriately with internal customers, third-party vendors, and business leadership.
  • Ensures the success of the project by identifying and working closely with the right stakeholders based on their level of influence and decision-making.
  • Provides insight to key stakeholders and project sponsors by developing project goals, setting the prioritization of deliverables, discussing the involvement of business processes (e.g. project change management, communication), and facilitating decisions necessary for project delivery.
  • Reviews vendor performance levels and ensures service level agreements are met.
  • Participates in contract negotiations with service vendors and reviews project invoices submitted by vendor for accuracy.
  • 10-15 year experience managing end-to-end delivery of large-scale programs with onshore-offshore development teams.
  • Minimum 10 years experience implementing large, complex projects in a corporate environment.
  • Minimum seven (7) year experience managing program budgets.
