Job Description: Ensure the quality and delivery of application operations supporting the business in accordance with agreed upon standardsPerform Capacity Planning to ensure appropriate storage and/or processing capability for the specified applications to support present and future initiativesProvide level 3 technical support to include proactive and reactive incident resolutionPerform proactive review of applications and systems performance metrics and alerts to ensure event correlation and trend analysis are performed on a regular basisCollaborate with Systems Administrators to troubleshoot hardware and OS-level issues on all platforms to include RedHat/Oracle Linux and Windows Server 2003/2008Collaborate with Networking to troubleshoot networking issuesWork closely with Problem Manager to understand recurring incidents impacting user population, help identify root cause, and resolve problemsEnsure knowledge database is populated with resolutions, workarounds, known issuesReview system logs to identify signs of potential problemsExecute software or system releases as requestedEstablish and maintain users in regard to their files, rights, and account restrictionsStay current on technologies affecting current systems infrastructure issuesRespond to requests for configuration changesResolve performance issues
As an eCommerce Application Administrator you will be responsible for administering and maintaining specified N-tier applications within Ferguson's technical environment to include installation, configuration, monitoring, planning, troubleshooting, and issue resolution.
