The eLearning Architect Role on the Global Talent Development team is a high visibility position which significantly impacts and our Sales, Marketing, Technical & Operations teams. The eLearning Architect position supports Client Satisfaction and Revenue Growth initiatives including New Hire Onboarding Programs, New Hire Training, Continuing Development & Leadership Programs. Responsible for performance consulting (paired with their designated Global Talent Development team members) with Executives, Leaders and other internal clients; designing and project managing e-learning, web-based and digital media training – that may include services/systems/tools/processes/skills courses; learning management system (LMS) architect – infrastructure, layout, customization, implementation, ongoing maintenance, tickets, learning plans, mass reporting and support; and measuring the impact of courses through LMS, operational performance and other data. The position is located in Atlanta and requires 10-20% domestic or international travel to attend meetings or training programs, meet with subject matter experts, conduct video shoots, etc.
Performance Consulting/Instructional & Online Design/Program & Project Management (80%)
-Design and develop interactive, effective and user-friendly online courses, virtual ILT or perhaps ILT training programs from conception to implementation including maintenance using e-learning, audio and video software.
-Conduct performance consulting (including but not limited to needs assessments, focus groups, surveys, etc.) with other Global Talent Development resources and internal clients to determine appropriate training needs and solutions. Partner with assigned Global Talent Development team members on their projects and programs that need to be turned into e-learning, virtual ILT or perhaps ILT training. Analyze learning needs and partner with internal subject matter experts and clients to provide input for course content and/or design. Must possess the ability to translate business goals and objectives into realistic training curricula.
-Conduct formal project planning and management with aligned Global Talent Development team members for assigned segments, work groups, service portfolios and/or systems, tools, process and/or skills program design.
-Develop storyboards, interactive multimedia mini modules, tutorials, simulations, etc. for primarily web-based or e-learning programs incorporating, editing, scraping and splicing audio and video elements as needed. Experience with designing in Adobe Audition, Premier, Media controller, Episode or Sorenson Squeeze for audio and video editing, compression and scraping.
-Design and maintain Storyline 2, pure audio and video captures, Camtasia, etc. course components with HTML5 and SCORM compliance in mind.
-Schedule, facilitate and co-lead with subject matter experts web-based ILTs (webinars) to produce and edit content for the online program rollout.
-Assess, recommend and manage third-party providers of training courses, materials and resources to ensure that they meet the organization’s training goals and objectives. Assess, recommend and purchase courseware packages, and support development of appropriate courseware tools.
-Partner with other company LMS resources, Saba Administrators and technical support to configure, modify and maintain the Learning Management System, its hierarchy, infrastructure, maintenance and tickets to support our clients’ needs.
-Partner with other eLearning Architects and other Global Talent Development team members to develop and maintain learning plans, surveys, course materials, tests and reports for all online courses and instructor-led virtual training and workshops. Partner with other Global Talent Development team members to provide program analysis and progress reports to SecureWorks Leadership Teams as appropriate.
-Lead, manage and support executive and corporate video shoots and special events.
Measurement & Learning Effectiveness (20%)
-Measure the impact to the business using all levels of Kirkpatrick and Phillips methodology by analyzing course content relevancy/effectiveness, participants’ knowledge or skill attainment, instructor or modality effectiveness, the participants’ attainment to service level or research performance/goals, and/or ticket responsiveness/resolution, compliance, client satisfaction, etc. to ensure the intended outcomes of the programs were achieved and adjust the programs accordingly.
-Evaluate and assess the effectiveness of key training initiatives through the use of online surveys, test scores, etc. through LMS, technical and operational performance and other data. Provide manual and LMS reporting, results and feedback to executives, management and other internal clients on a regular basis. Modify assigned programs based on clients’ needs, changing business initiatives and results of learning effectiveness reports.
As a managed security provider, SecureWorks expects its employees to understand and apply commonly known security practices and possess a working knowledge of applicable industry controls such as NIST 800-53. Employees will be expected to acknowledge their security responsibilities in writing prior to gaining access to company systems. Employees will be required to maintain a working knowledge of local security policies and execute general controls as assigned.
-Position requires a Bachelor’s degree in Instructional Technology, Communications, Business Administration, Human Resources, Organization Development, Education or related field or equivalent work experience.
-Minimum of 7 years of experience working with complex Learning Management Systems - ideally Saba Enterprise and Saba Cloud, e-learning training design and distance learning tools like WebEx, Adobe Connect and/or GoTo Training is required. Extensive knowledge of adult learning theories and models necessary for operational and technical curriculum development of service, systems, process and skills development training programs for Sales, Marketing, Technical and Operations audiences required.
-Minimum of 5-7 years of videography experience using Adobe Audition and Premiere Pro, Media controller, Episode or Sorenson Squeeze for audio and video editing, compression and scraping.
Requires excellent verbal, written and computer desktop publishing and graphic design skills in all Microsoft Office services including Word, PowerPoint, Excel, Publisher, etc. and Adobe Creative Suite services like Writer/Distiller, InDesign, Illustrator, Fireworks, Photoshop and other software as needed.
-Requires strong communication, time management, organizational and interpersonal skills as well as experience in managing multiple projects in a fast-paced, ever-changing environment both in an office setting and remotely. Excellent attention to detail and multi-tasking required. Must be able to explain technical concepts in non-technical terms.
-Position requires an average of 10- 20% domestic and international travel to attend meetings or training programs, meet with subject matter experts, conduct video shoots, etc.
-Information Security, Networking, and Managed IT, Security and Cloud Services experience desired.
