Bothell is home of the EVOS® line of fully integrated all-in-one digital inverted microscope and High Content Analysis imaging instrumentation. The site is concept-to-completion, designing, developing and manufacturing optical equipment for the life sciences market, including research and diagnostic laboratories. This role will reside in our Bothell, WA facility.
How will you make an impact?
We are looking for a Software QA Tester to support our cell imaging software team. In this role, you will perform exploratory and automated testing for our imaging products including microscopes, cell counters, and machine learning systems. You will be part of an experienced agile software team that is pushing the bleeding edge.
What will you do?
Perform all phases of software testing.
Design, implement, and maintain testing tools for our cell analysis instruments and software.
Help ensure the software is of high quality by contributing to software products, build infrastructure, and test environments.
Work with engineers, product owners, and stakeholders to ensure software deployments are successful by being fully tested and on-time.
Create, modify, and review test requirements, plans, cases, and documentation.
Identify, record, track, and thoroughly document bugs.
Perform white box and black box testing
Bachelor’s degree in CS/CE or related engineering field.
5+ years of proven experience as a software tester
Strong knowledge of QA and test automation methodologies/tools
Scripting or programming experience
Unit testing experience
Willing to learn new technology and domains
Team player with excellent written and verbal communication skills
Knowledge of Agile methodologies
Excellent troubleshooting skills
Exceptional attention to detail
Strong interpersonal and organization skills
Embedded systems, performance optimization, or biology experience a plus
Build systems (Jenkins, TFS, TeamCity, etc.) preferred
