Job Description

  • Identifying areas of consolidation and rationalization possibilities within the company's Application Portfolio.
  • Facilitate gap/fit analysis throughout the intake process to ensure minimal capability redundancy in the enterprise.
  • Maintain a holistic view of the organization's strategy, processes, and information and technology assets.
  • Partner with business and technology leaders to translate business requirements into technology solutions.
  • Working closely with technology leaders, review and advise upon projects to ensure that they are compliant with enterprise standards, policies and guidelines.
  • Collaborate with business stakeholders on how solution options will meet their needs.
  • Monitor and analyze industry, technology and market trends to determine their potential impact or application for the organization. Provide such suggestions to technology leadership to ensure that trends are accounted for within the strategic plan.
  • Help to identify technical, business and operational implications of the technology investments.
  • Meet regularly with Project Teams (upon initiation and phase gate reviews) to ensure the best technical approach is being applied throughout project delivery.

Skills & Requirements:


  • Bachelor's degree in computer science, information systems, engineering or a related field.
  • Direct work experience in enterprise architecture or application architecture, application development and/or systems management.
  • Strong understanding of software, infrastructure, architecture frameworks, network topology and corporate technology trends.
  • Demonstrate an understanding of the SAP S/4 Hana Landscape & features.
  • Experience with development of strategic technology plans and roadmaps.
  • Ability to foster the EA function in an organization that is transitioning from a legacy mainframe environment.
  • Ability to work with direction and limited direct supervision.
  • Ability to work collaboratively with a cross-functional team.
  • Ability to develop estimates for future state solutions as input into the technology roadmap.
  • Demonstrate capability for problem solving, decision making and sound judgment.
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills as well as excellent presentation skills.
  • Strong ability to develop and foster business relationships.
  • Experienced user of Microsoft Office toolset (Word, Excel and PowerPoint)
  • Master's degree
  • Experience in Energy & Utilities or services industry
  • Experience with a co-sourced environment
  • Strong consultative skills at a cross functional level.
  • Strong leadership and negotiation skills.
  • Experience with PPM tools

Immediate needs:
  • Participate within the Disaster Recovery Solution deployment to ensure that the wholistic service to be provided is all encompassing.
  • Identify any interdependencies, system limitations and necessary remediation steps
  • Participate in the application rationalization of the 300+ application portfolio in alignment with the technology strategy & roadmap of the company
  • Identify redundant capabilities and solutions, recommend the best fit solution
  • Identify retirement roadmap for solutions
  • Identify the necessary upgrade cycle for applications & infrastructure, provide input to the planning process
  • Develop standard architecture requirements best fit to the organizations size and capabilities
  • Provide estimates and documented scope inputs for implementation of projects from related strategies

Long Term:
  • Facilitate the rationalization of incremental solutions through the intake process
  • Proactively identify areas of opportunity within the business processes to further leverage the strategic solutions of the company (SAP, Microsoft, Workday)
  • Participate in the initial planning and design stages of critical projects to ensure the necessary architecture is implemented in accordance with standards and procedures.
  • Facilitate the identification of technology solutions from business requirements
  • Provide estimates and documented scope inputs for implementation of projects from related strategies
