Zappos is looking for a iOS Developer to help improve our app that serves the best customers in the world - The Zappos Family of Companies customers. We are looking for smart, forward-thinking problem solvers to join our world-class technology team utilizing Swift in Native app development frameworks. Above all, your software will be deployed in scale to help Zappos exceed customer expectations.

What You'll Be Doing
Duties include research, design, implementation, documentation, and maintenance of new and existing app features and tools to drive our award winning app towards even higher quality. Responsible for the design, development and maintenance of the iOS mobile application that is used by thousands of happy customers every day. Using Swift, UIKit and a little SwiftUI you'll work in an Agile/Scrum environment to deliver high quality app features.
• Troubleshoot and fix hard problems, not being afraid to dig into the details.
• Know when to throw something together for an MVP to learn quickly and fail fast.
• Know when to really take the time when building and go the extra mile to really build a WOW experience.
• Participate in design and architecture sessions with other senior engineers.
• Mentor junior developers by providing meaningful feedback and raise the bar on coding standards.
• Collaborate with UX, Product Management and other Engineers to think up and build experiments. Iteratively improve the customer experience.
• Having lots of fun doing really fun things with fun people.

• Work backwards from customer problems, figure out elegant solutions, and implement them for speed and great user experience.
• Be responsible for designing, developing and deploying complex app features.

• Raise the bar on quality, consistency, maintainability, efficiency, security, performance and all the other things that make great apps great.
• Use your expertise to set a high bar for the team, mentor team members, set the tone for how to take on and deliver on large projects.
• Participate as an engineering leader in the larger group of leaders in the Zappos family

What You Need
• 3+ years of professional mobile application development experience with iOS in Native App development frameworks
• 3+ years of experience performing Computer Science fundamentals in object-oriented design, data structures, algorithm design, problem solving, and complexity analysis
• Direct development experience in Swift Strong analytical skills, with excellent problem solving abilities.
• Self-directed and capable of working effectively in a dynamic environment.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills. Ability to clearly and concisely communicate with technical and non-technical stakeholders across all levels of the organization
• Passion for technical leadership and mentoring.
