World Wide Technology has an impactful opportunity for a Mid-Senior Front End Developer to join our Government Services Team on a multi-year, fully funded program supporting the Department of Homeland Security.  Using Agile Methodologies, the mission of this program is to obtain greater integration, automation and efficiencies.  In this role you will support, through innovation and transformative processes, the men and women charged with safeguarding the American people and enhancing the Nation's safety, security, and prosperity!


Serve as an Agile Scrum team member providing software development and maintenance for the delivery of releasable software in short sprint cycles. Responsible for activities associated with delivery of software solutions associated with customer-defined systems and software projects by working in close collaboration with software developers/engineers, stakeholders, and end users within Agile processes.


  • Designing, developing, and implementing custom frontend code based on Angular 2+ and integration with several micro-services (written in Spring Boot) for a major modernization effort of a legacy system with limited oversight
  • Working with CX Designer on translating lo/hi-fidelity screen mockups into application frontend screens
  • Web application developing using HTML5, CSS3, and modern JavaScript frameworks to develop interactive and responsive interfaces for use across platforms, devices, and browsers
  • Work alongside Scrum Masters, Business Analysts, and Developers to facilitating the flow of continuous development through a secure, stable pipeline
  • Supporting both on premise and cloud hosted web applications
  • Acting as a member of a product team supporting teammates and collaborating with a do what it takes attitude to ensure product and team success
  • Providing improvements to the product(s) being supported
  • Actively participate in release and sprint planning, artifact creation, sprint testing, regression testing, demonstrations and retrospectives and solution releases
  • Supporting release planning with conceptual design and development / refinement of software engineering guidelines
  • Analyzing complex project-related problems and creating innovative solutions involving, scheduling, technology, methodology, tools and solution components
  • Ensuring product quality and timeliness of work, providing advice and guidance, resolving problems to meet objectives, and providing periodic performance reports
  • Providing mentoring to junior members of the team




  • with the ability to pass DHS background investigation, criteria include but are not limited to:
  • 3 year check for felony convictions
  • 1 year check for illegal drug use
  • 1 year check for misconduct such as theft or fraud
  • College degree (B.S.) in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Information Management Systems or a related discipline.  Equivalent professional experience will be considered in lieu of degree.
  • At least seven (7) years related development experience (across all development languages with focus on Angular 2+ over past 3 years), along with development and implementation in a cloud environment (such as AWS)
  • 3 years developing web applications using the Angular 2+ – 7 frameworks (or other modern frameworks, with a focus on Angular)
  • 5+ years developing with and using JavaScript, TypeScript, CSS3, and HTML5
  • 3+ experience developing unit test with tools such as Jasmine and End-To-End testing with tools such as Protractor
  • 2+ years of experience with repository tools such as Git or Bitbucket and project tracking
  • systems such as Jira
  • Strong understanding of modern infrastructures and large initiative deployments
  • Experience working in Agile environments (Scrum or Kanban methodologies) and applying automation techniques with multiple teams operating in parallel
  • Strong understanding of TDD, CI/CD, automation, and micro-services (preferred)
  • Experience with source code control systems,code branching and concurrent development workflows (GitLab preferred)
  • Frontend development experience working with video, GIS and live streaming data. (pref)
  • Experience with Section 508 compliance
