CYBER SECURITY ANALYST, SENIOR (BCSS-20-0141-W)
Bowhead seeks a Cyber Security Analyst, Senior to support the upcoming Cybersecurity Information Technology contract located in Charleston, SC and Norfolk, VA. This contract is tasked with cybersecurity, systems security engineering, technical, and management support services to various program offices. Specifically, this support will encompass Risk Management Framework tasks, engineering activities, and recommendations for technical support for multiple projects and programs.
Responsibilities may include, but are not limited to:
• Support SIPRNet accreditation packages through the RMF process ensuring timely receipt of Authority To Operate (ATO) documentation.
• Coordinate and participate in technical interchange meetings, configuration control boards and accreditation working groups.
• Create and track all IA tasks using tools such as Microsoft Project.
• Provide technical guidance focused on information security architecture.
• Perform security research, analysis, and design for assigned client computing systems and the network infrastructure.
• Evaluate security posture impacts on all architecture changes. Monitor trends in information technology and security that could have an impact on the security of the organization's products, processes, infrastructure, or customers.
• Participate in the development Command IA policies, orders, and procedures that ensure compliance with all applicable higher headquarters directives, instructions, etc., as well as recognized standards and best-practices.
• Perform tasks to ensure Navy applications, systems, and networks satisfy Federal/DoD/DON/Navy
• Assist in providing restoration of information systems by incorporating protection, detection, and reaction capabilities.
• Assist in developing solutions for access control and information protection where necessary, and develop and manage system security plans (SSPs).
• Assist in providing architecture support through interfacing and coordinating with developers/engineers on secure design and code review, security requirements, SDLC integration, and penetration testing with real-time security feedback.
• Bachelor degree in Computer Science, Information Technology/Systems, engineering, or other relevant Technical discipline is highly preferred. High School Diploma or GED is required.
• Minimum six years' (6) experience in support of the prevention of damage to, protection of, and restoration or computers, electronic communications systems, electronic communications services, wire communication, and electronic communication to ensure data availability, integrity, authentication, confidentiality, and nonrepudiation; support to include: design secure systems, write secure computer code, and create the tools needed to prevent, detect, mitigate, and reconstitute information systems.
• 8670.1 IAT II Certification is required (CompTIA Security+ or equivalent).
• Ability to communicate effectively with all levels of employees and outside contacts.
• Strong interpersonal skills and good judgment with the ability to work alone or as part of a team.
SECURITY CLEARANCE REQUIRED: Must currently hold a security clearance at the Secret level. US Citizenship is a requirement for Secret clearance at this location.
