Who We\'re Looking For This program is designed for two groups of people:
- Skilled tradespeople seeking a career change - with hands-on experience in construction, automotive, handyman, manufacturing, or a similar field
- Veterans transitioning to civilian employment - of any branch, with technical, mechanical, electrical, construction, or maintenance experience
No property management experience required. If you\'re reliable, motivated, and ready to learn, you\'re who we\'re looking for.
The Program - Free, fully virtual training - no cost to you
- 6-week curriculum - complete on your own schedule while still working your current job
- Guaranteed placement with a professional property management company in the Atlanta metro area upon successful program completion
- Dedicated guidance - Oakmont walks with you every step of the way, from enrollment through your first day on the job and beyond
Compensation & Benefits - During placement period (up to 12 weeks): $22/hour as an Oakmont employee in a temp-to-hire arrangement
- Upon direct hire by the property management company: $22-$25/hour plus full benefits package
- A clear advancement path - Maintenance Technician, Lead Technician, Maintenance Supervisor - rewards those who show up and grow
What You\'ll Learn Our program prepares you to confidently handle the core responsibilities of a Multifamily Maintenance Technician:
- Electrical fundamentals and repairs
- HVAC systems and troubleshooting
- Appliance installation and repair
- Plumbing basics and maintenance
