BOT Posting Instructions

To setup a Bot Scrape with Dice, ensure you have purchased the right contract with us. If you are unsure what is included in your subscription, please contact your account team to confirm.
Required Information to complete setup:
- Dice Group ID
- Username & password
- XML/ URL Source - Where are we going to be pulling jobs from? The exact link is required.
- XML Feed
- JSON Feed
- FTP site
- Job Identifier - Which jobs is Dice pulling? How many jobs?
- All jobs
- Most recent jobs
- Category Specific (i.e. Technology)
- Specifically tagged jobs (i.e. #Dice)
- Apply Method - How would you like candidates to apply to your jobs?
- External URL (i.e. directed to your career page or ATS)
- Easy Apply via E-mail? NOTE: You will see higher apply rates with Easy Apply as it is fewer clicks for the candidate.
- Type of Position - What position types would you like your jobs to reflect?
- Full Time
- Part Time
- Contract Corp to Corp
- Contract - Independent
- Contract - W2
- Contract to Hire - Corp to Corp
- Contract to Hire - Independent
- Contract to Hire - W2
- Recruiter Profile - Would you like a recruiter profile connected to the jobs that are posted?

- Reminder that the profile should be as complete as possible with information about the recruiter, company and contact information to drive the best results.
- Position Location - Are the position(s) onsite or remote?
- Provide the zip codes for any onsite positions
- Source Code - if applicable
Your account team will complete end to end testing with you to ensure jobs are posting accurately and in line with your expectations. Changes can be made to the bot at any time through your account team.

What is a Bot?
- A job bot (sometimes called a job scrape or simply a scrape) is a computer program that automatically scrapes jobs from a given source and posts them to Dice.
What is the difference between a Bot and a Batch?
- A bot grabs your jobs from a site/feed/or file—typically your careers site and copies them to Dice.com. A batch is an email file that is sent from your applicant tracking system (ATS) and goes to Dice for posting. See more details here.
How often does the Bot scrape happen in a day?
- The default timeframe for bots to run is twice a day. Typically, this occurs at or around 7:00am CT and 7:00pm CT.
