RESPONSIBILITIES:
Kforce has a client in Fayetteville, GA that is seeking a Network Studio Engineer. This position will be required to travel to central POP based in Atlanta from time to time. As is usual in a small company, the job holder will also be involved across other areas of our business as required.
Responsibilities of this role are as follows:
* Provide face-to-face, telephone and email support to our clients across the entire range of our services and solutions with a studio focus
* Installation, configuration and on-going maintenance of Sohonet equipment including wireless access points, switches and firewalls
* Troubleshooting wired and wireless connectivity issues
* Physically provision and decommission of services
* Opportunity for additional remuneration and professional challenges throughout of hours engineering projects
* Attend client meetings to provide technical support to our studio coordinator as required
* Developing and writing detailed process and systems studio documentation
* Ensuring stock and asset documentation remains up to date
REQUIREMENTS:
* Ideally, educated to degree level - or recognized equivalent
* 3 years of industry experience
* Campus style Networking experience
* Operating System experience/interest (Linux/Unix)
* Experience with Fiber optics
* Flexible/Go-getter personality
* Experience setting up phones/phone lines
* Experience in determining cable runs through occupied spaces, and installations utilizing ducts, ceiling voids, and trunking
* Ability to terminate Cat5e/Cat6 a must
* Experience diagnosing and rectifying cable faults using tools such as Cat5e testers, tone generators, and similar
* Good understanding of wireless networking, with experience of troubleshooting wireless connectivity issues
* Good understanding of Computer Networking - TCP/IP
* Experience with networking devices and the concepts they exemplify such as Juniper, Brocade, HP, Dell, Cisco, MRV, Palo Alto, Xirrus
* Knowledge of security mechanisms and components for both networking and computing (e.g., firewalls, antivirus, passwords)
* Experience in System Administration of OSX or Linux
* Understanding of the film production industry
* Comfortable in an informal environment where teamwork, accessibility and pragmatism are emphasized
* Excellent customer communication skills
* Practical, hands on approach to problem solving
* Outgoing personality who will develop the reputation of the support team within the company and the industry
* Excellent organization skills
* Ability to work at heights
* First class interpersonal, communication and leadership skills at all levels within an organization, across all departments and professional disciplines
* Bright intellect with a depth and breadth of personal and professional experiences
The pay range is the lowest to highest compensation we reasonably in good faith believe we would pay at posting for this role. We may ultimately pay more or less than this range. Employee pay is based on factors like relevant education, qualifications, certifications, experience, skills, seniority, location, performance, union contract and business needs. This range may be modified in the future.
We offer comprehensive benefits including medical/dental/vision insurance, HSA, FSA, 401(k), and life, disability & ADD insurance to eligible employees. Salaried personnel receive paid time off. Hourly employees are not eligible for paid time off unless required by law. Hourly employees on a Service Contract Act project are eligible for paid sick leave.
