Job Title: New Relic Monitoring Engineer Location: Atlanta, GA (Onsite) Type: Contract
Job description:
Key Responsibilities:
Design, deploy, and manage New Relic APM, Infrastructure, Browser, and Synthetics monitoring solutions.
Configure custom dashboards, alerts, and notifications to proactively identify and resolve performance issues.
Collaborate with development, DevOps, and operations teams to integrate monitoring best practices.
Analyze application performance metrics, logs, and traces to troubleshoot and optimize system performance.
Automate monitoring workflows using New Relic APIs and scripting (Python, Bash, etc.).
Provide recommendations for performance tuning and capacity planning based on monitoring insights.
Document monitoring configurations, processes, and best practices.
Required Skills & Experience:
3+ years of hands-on experience with New Relic (APM, Infrastructure, Synthetics, Alerts, Dashboards).
Strong understanding of application performance monitoring (APM) and infrastructure monitoring.
Experience with cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, Google Cloud Platform) and containerized environments (Docker, Kubernetes).
Proficiency in scripting (Python, Bash, PowerShell) for automation.
Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines and DevOps practices.
Strong troubleshooting and analytical skills.
Excellent communication and collaboration skills.
Preferred Qualifications:
New Relic certification (e.g., New Relic Certified Performance Pro).
Experience with log monitoring tools (ELK, Splunk, etc.).
Knowledge of APM and observability best practices.
