Solution Architect

Define the target state architecture for the scope of work, serving as a solution architect within the agile delivery team (product or platform)

Create Architecture for a cloud platform and/or specific vendor/SaaS based applications.

Develop understanding of current ecosystem to enable deployment of new applications or solutions in it

Bring forward modern architectural patterns, leveraging open source, cloud and key strategic vendor /SAAS technologies.

Create solutions are in alignment with Enterprise goals as established by Enterprise Architecture teams.

Create stories and architecture reference artifacts to facilitate decisioning and direction of the target solution. Artifacts include, but not limited to solution presentations, component diagrams, sequence diagrams, non-functional requirements, and overall architecture roadmaps.

Lead prototyping, discovery, and vendor evaluation activities to ensure solutions fit within overall enterprise context.

Collaborate with the other architecture and engineering teams to optimize and reuse strategic solutions within the current landscape.

Provide directional effort estimates/cost to ensure solution fits within overall business case and long-term financial plan.

Define and mature the overall platform and product architectural landscape, continuously identify and defining what belongs as a platform feature and what belongs as a product/application only feature.

Engage frequently in the execution of the Architecture Reviews and maintenance of the enterprise architecture repository.

Maintain current knowledge of technology tools and techniques and mentor team members and provide active guidance/collaboration.

Performs other duties related to architecture as assigned.

Minimum of 8+ years of related experience building and architecting complex applications and integrations

Ability to communicate with technical and business teams.

Minimum 4 years of hands-on experience with a major cloud vendor (AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud Platform), with Architect certification with one Cloud Vendor

At least 3 years of hands-on experience leveraging modern technologies such as Serverless, low code tools and microservices to enable different solution architectures.

Hands on experience building Microservice based architectures, leveraging API Gateways and/or Service Mesh, integration platform technologies to facilitate integration and orchestration.

Hands on experience architecting solutions that involve SAAS applications such as Salesforce, SAP, MDM, domain specific solutions, and custom developed applications using containers and Kubernetes.

Experience Architecting Solutions in 1 or more industry domains.

Ability to bring forward new technologies and patterns to increase the speed of delivery on Solution architectures.

Proficiency in agile methodology.

Ability to work within a complex, dynamic environment involving multiple teams.

Ability to produce different artifacts/ diagrams that can be consumed by infrastructure, network, security, application, and other enterprise teams.

Ability to Solution architect across a variety of application problems / decisions such as connectivity, identity, authentication/authorization, user experience, front end, backend , data and analytics solutions

Demonstrated ability to influence cross functionally in a matrix management environment.

Must be able to facilitate meetings to resolve issues/problems with a win/win result.

Demonstrated experience communicating complex architects and roadmaps to senior business leadership.

Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
