Job Description:
Enterprise Network Engineer
Overview:
We are seeking an experienced Enterprise Network Engineer with 5-10+ years of expertise in troubleshooting, designing, and optimizing enterprise network infrastructures. A strong proficiency in DOCSIS is a hard requirement for this role. The ideal candidate will have experience with routing protocols, network architecture design, network security, and vendor collaboration to implement effective solutions.
This role involves investigating issues within hardware and software systems, reproducing problems in lab environments, and collaborating with vendors and stakeholders to improve infrastructure performance and security.
Key Responsibilities:
Technical Skills & Competencies:
Working knowledge of EPON platforms, including: ADTRAN 95XX and Distributed Access Architecture ROLTs SDX-6210 Vecima (Nokia) 7360 and Distributed Access Architecture ROLTs SF-4X Working knowledge of switch platforms, including: Cisco NCS/ASR Juniper PTX/QFX/ACX Proficiency in routing protocols, including: OSPF ISIS BGP IPv4/IPv6 Multicast

Enterprise Network Engineer
Overview:
We are seeking an experienced Enterprise Network Engineer with 5-10+ years of expertise in troubleshooting, designing, and optimizing enterprise network infrastructures. The ideal candidate will have experience with routing protocols, network architecture design, network security, and vendor collaboration to implement effective solutions.

Key Responsibilities:
- Investigate and resolve enterprise network and hardware/software issues, ensuring minimal disruption to operations.
- Reproduce network issues in a controlled lab environment for deeper analysis and solution testing.
- Collaborate with vendors and external partners to develop and implement optimized solutions.
- Design and document network architectures, ensuring scalability and efficiency.
- Perform assessments on existing technologies to identify performance gaps and capacity limitations.
- Establish security, connectivity, and access controls, maintaining compliance with industry standards.
- Provide recommendations for network infrastructure optimization, balancing security and performance.
- Test and fine-tune security devices and systems, ensuring stability and protection from potential threats.
- Program routers and switches, configuring network elements for seamless communication.
- Implement communications technologies (both data and voice) to enhance organizational connectivity.
- Manage network services, overseeing projects from planning through full implementation.
- Maintain solid knowledge of routing protocols, network hardware/software, security technologies, and network infrastructure to improve reliability.
- Develop and maintain technical documentation, ensuring clarity and precision in design and troubleshooting processes.
- Create and execute technical test plans, presenting results with detailed insights and recommendations.
Technical Skills & Competencies:
- DOCSIS (Hard Requirement) - Advanced knowledge and practical expertise in DOCSIS standards for network implementation.
- Expertise in Remote PHY (RPHY) technology and configuration.
- Experience with Harmonic CableOS vCMTS and RPDs including Harmonic Pebble 2 and Vecima ERM-32X.
- Working knowledge of Integrated CMTS (iCMTS) platforms, including:
- Casa C100G
- Arris E6000
- Cisco cBR8
Required Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related field, or equivalent work experience.
- 5-10+ years of experience working with network infrastructure, routing protocols, security technologies, and communications systems.
- Extensive hands-on experience with DOCSIS is required.
