Role Title: IT Business Analyst
Employment Type: Contract
Duration: 6-9 Month Contract
Preferred Location: Remote, ability to support EST hours
Role Description:
This Team is seeking a Business Analyst to support two key projects. First our OTM upgrade initiative across three environments. The primary goal is to successfully complete the on-premises / in place upgrade to OTM version 6.5.3 by the end of the year. Second to develop OTM enhancements for our Epes General Commodity business model.

IT Business Analyst
Customer's Expectations of this Role:
- Work with one customer to gather, define, and document detailed business requirements and specifications
- Learn and understand the customers business well enough to help communicate their needs
- Ability to facilitate, direct and manage customer meetings.
- Participate in cross-functional groups to create the expected customer outcome
- Work in a consultative mode understanding the need of the customer with the capability of the support teams
- Understand technologies, and business process analysis
- Effectively communicate customer requirements and work with IT to develop solutions and determine system impact.
- Have working knowledge of Transportation Management Systems (TMS) a plus
- Able to communicate to the business partners to identify and manage required technical changes or needs
Requirements:
Education and Experience Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in computer science information systems, Management Information Systems, Business Administration with a technology focus or Engineering
- 3 - 6 years comparable experience
- Logistics Industry Experience and Knowledge Highly Preferred
- Transportation Industry Experience and Knowledge Highly Preferred
- Prior consulting and business solution experiences
- Experience working as a liaison between customers, operations, and technology
- Experience in oral and written communications, including analysis documentation, application/systems specifications, risk identification and escalation, and report presentation
- Formal training or advanced knowledge on the Software Development Lifecycle or Application Development Lifecycle, methodologies and standards.
- Experience implementing Oracles Transportation Management System version 6.3 or higher would be a significant plus.
