Software Guidance & Assistance, Inc., (SGA), is searching for a Business Systems Analyst for a Contract assignment with one of our premier Healthcare clients in Los Angeles, CA. (100% remote PST hours)
Responsibilities :
  • The Business Systems Analyst (BSA) will be a member of Decision Support Services Team at FPG. The BSA acts as liaison among stakeholders in order to elicit, analyze, define and document requirements for solving business challenges using technology. Effectively works with business stakeholders to capture functional and technical requirements with the understanding of the IT landscape in order to produce software requirement specifications and integration transformation and translation mappings in a variety of formats, including but not limited to: Business Process and/or Data Flow Models, Business Requirements Documents (BRDs), Requirements traceability matrix and User Stories with Acceptance Criteria, as required. As needed, conducts testing according to requirements and provides analytics support and provides deep validation for deliverables of technical products or initiatives from development team. The BSA develops system(s) training documentation and user guides as needed. Explains gaps and technical concepts for non-technical audiences. Applies significant knowledge of industry trends and developments to improve service to our customers. The BSA must achieve in-depth knowledge of relevant software applications as well as understand policies, procedures and constraints
Required Skills:
  • 5+ years health care IT experience in Managed Care Reporting or related field
  • Epic Tapestry certification
  • Strong SQL Programming Skills (MS SQL Server/Azure platforms)
  • Strong analytical and problem solving skills
  • Ability to work independently with general direction
  • Ability to communicate with stakeholders at all levels to understand requirements Ability to establish and achieve goals and maintain time lines
  • Problem-solving abilities with an understanding of statistical methods
  • Knowledge of data warehouse concepts, data structures and reporting - Required
  • Extensive knowledge of best practices regarding reporting, workflows, policies, procedures, systems and culture in the healthcare environment
  • Strong analytical, problem-solving and metadata skills
  • Ability to translate business questions and requirements into reports, views, and BI query objects

Preferred Skills:
  • Ability to program using SAS, R, Python, or Stata for data management and analysis
