Job Description:

We are seeking an experienced Lead AI/ML Engineer with strong hands-on expertise in AI/ML and Generative AI to lead the delivery of enterprise-scale AI solutions. The ideal candidate will combine deep technical knowledge with leadership experience, owning end-to-end AI/ML delivery, governance alignment, and MLOps implementation in production environments.

Responsibilities:

AI Project Delivery & Leadership:

• Lead end-to-end execution of complex AI/ML and Generative AI projects, ensuring timely and high-quality delivery
• Translate AI strategy and product roadmaps into actionable technical plans and engineering backlogs
• Act as the primary technical contact for stakeholders, managing dependencies, risks, and delivery milestones

AI Governance & Compliance:

• Support AI governance processes, including preparation and review of required documentation
• Ensure AI solutions follow established standards for responsible and compliant AI
• Partner with data science and product teams to proactively address ethical, technical, and compliance considerations

Technical Leadership & Mentorship:

• Provide technical leadership and mentorship to senior AI/ML engineers and data scientists
• Conduct code reviews, design reviews, and architecture discussions
• Promote engineering best practices, scalability, and solution robustness

Hands-on Engineering & MLOps:

• Design and implement MLOps pipelines for AI/ML systems
• Oversee CI/CD pipelines for ML workloads
• Enforce version control for code, data, and models
• Implement production monitoring to track model performance and detect drift
• Support deployment and operationalization of AI/ML and GenAI solutions

Required Skills & Qualifications:

• 10+ years of experience in AI/ML engineering, with 4 5+ years in a technical leadership role
• Strong hands-on expertise in AI/ML concepts, including:
  • Generative AI
  • Retrieval-Augmented Generation (RAG)
  • Agent-based / Agentic systems
  • Vector databases
• Experience delivering real-world AI use cases (e.g., recommendations, document processing, metadata extraction, claims automation, etc.)
• Strong understanding of the full ML lifecycle from data engineering to production monitoring
• Proven experience with MLOps and CI/CD pipelines
• Strong proficiency in Python and common ML frameworks (TensorFlow, PyTorch, scikit-learn)
• Experience with cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud Platform)
• Strong project management skills in Agile environments

Preferred Qualifications:

• Master's or PhD in Computer Science, Data Science, or related field
• Experience working in regulated environments (healthcare, finance, etc.)
• Experience deploying and operating LLM-based applications in production
• Strong collaboration with product teams on AI-driven features
• Passion for mentoring and developing senior technical talent
