PACS Consultant (Remote, Contract, Flexible Hours)
Are you a highly skilled and committed PACS professional ready to take on an exciting opportunity for growth and impact? Our client, a prominent healthcare provider, is seeking a PACS Consultant (remote, contract) who will be responsible for providing system support to radiology end-users, including radiology staff, radiologists, physicians and other stakeholders.
The role will encompass the image validation for VNA, building of training agendas and the building of Query by Exam Work Lists.

Position Tasks:
Provide Imaging Validation for VNA (Vendor Neutral Archive):
Ensure that images and patient reports are accurately validated and stored within the VNA system.
Conduct a comprehensive review of imaging data formats and compatibility with VNA.
Validate the integrity and completeness of images and associated patient reports uploaded to the VNA.
Collaborate with IT and imaging staff to troubleshoot any discrepancies or issues identified during validation.
Create training agendas and documents for the new Fuji Synapse and Fuji Mobility systems.
Map current workflows and work with the Fuji Project Team to create training documentation of what will change with new Fuji system.
Develop and implement effective training programs for staff on PACS imaging systems processes and work with PACS Admin to identify training needs through assessment of current staff knowledge and skills.
Schedule training sessions and coordinate with stakeholders to ensure attendance.
Develop training materials, including presentations and user manuals, to support learning objectives and health stream trainings.
Gather feedback from PACS Admin to continuously improve training content and delivery.
Build Query by Exam Work Lists and enhance the efficiency of image workflow processes through effective work list management.
Work with PACS Admin to identify the current query and reporting workflows needs.
Develop the required QBE s that categorizes exams by type, modality, location and status.
Implement user-friendly QBE that enable technologists to access relevant exams quickly.
Monitor and evaluate the effectiveness of the work list, making adjustments as necessary based on user feedback during training.
Requirements:
Deep understanding of PACS and medical imaging system workflows.
Ability to provide clear PACS workflow documentation.
Experience with imaging validation for VNA
Ability to develop training materials and provide hands-on system support to end users.
Experience with building a Query for an Exam Worklist.
Experience with Fuji PACS archive platform and reading platform.
Strong customer service skills, with the ability to assist non-technical users in understanding complex issues.
Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, to interact with end-users and IT teams effectively.
