About the role:

As a Lead Engineer you will be part of project engineering for the Issue Resolution & Failure Analysis group. You will lead engineering teams like Issue Manager, Engineering, Licensing, SCM and QA to develop solution paths for emergent issues involving complex technical, commercial and financial problems.

You will report to the Senior Manager of IR & FA for Plant Mechanical Engineering & Issue Resolution. You will work hybrid based in Cranberry Woods, PA in the Greater Pittsburgh Area. No relocation provided. We can consider candidates able to work in the US without sponsorship now and in the future.

Responsibilities:
  • Lead engineering teams as Lead for Engineering issues, Licensing, SCM and QC to develop solution paths for emergent issues involving complex technical, commercial and financial problems
  • Develop relationships across the organization and with internal and external customers
  • Develop flexible project plans for schedule and budget activities for issue closure planning
  • Lead issue team meetings and ensure deliverables and handoffs are completed
  • Promote technical and commercial decisions
  • Capture lessons learned at issue closeout and implement best practices
  • Lead technical resolution paths of emergent issues for plant licensing, design engineering, procurement, construction, commissioning, and operations
  • Management techniques for technical, project and supply issues across Westinghouse
  • Lead technical challenge meetings to define issue resolution like critical Issue Resolution Team, Technical Review Board
  • Use others expertise across different functional disciplines and global work locations
  • Deliver presentations and regular updates to all partners
  • Lead efforts to support project planning schedule activities for project milestones, while concurrently managing tasks
  • Budget management
  • 10-20% travel

Qualifications:
  • 10+ years of experience
  • Bachelor's degree in mechanical, chemical, nuclear, electrical or civil engineering
  • Knowledge of design and operation of pressurized water reactor (PWR) plants.
  • Presentations and coordination
  • Prior plant operating
