V-Soft Consulting is currently hiring for a SQL DBA (with Sage X3) for our premier client in Plantation, Florida.
Education and Experience
- Must have hands-on experience with Sage X3 and its database structure for effective support and integration.
WHAT YOULL DO:
Job Responsibilities:
Database Administration:
- Develop and maintain SOPs, configuration documentation, and maintenance plans.
- Manage and troubleshoot SQL database issues; monitor performance metrics.
- Perform data import/export tasks and provide after-hours production support for core systems (ERP, WMS, PIM, DAM, D2C/B2B).
- Execute production deployment scripts with full audit trail documentation.
High Availability & Disaster Recovery:
- Implement and manage backup/recovery policies to ensure data integrity.
- Utilize best practices for DR (e.g., Always On, Log Shipping).
- Conduct routine backup and disaster recovery testing.
Development Support:
- Collaborate with app teams on database design and architecture.
- Optimize queries and assign indexes as needed.
- Create/modify database objects and perform SQL performance tuning.
Technical Leadership:
- Manage database storage, sizing, and capacity planning.
- Coordinate with internal infrastructure/server teams.
- Optimize SQL Server licensing for cost efficiency.
- Participate in audits, penetration tests, and maintain upgrade roadmaps.
- Recommend optimal integration patterns that preserve performance and scalability.
- Mentor and support junior team members in database management and best practices.
