JOB DESCRIPTION:
SAIC has an immediate opening for a Project Scheduler/CM Management Engineer in Chantilly, VA to join our team and be responsible for developing and maintaining schedules for implementation, developmental and operational systems. As a Project Scheduler, you will work with the Senior Project Scheduler on the team developing detailed schedules and assisting in keeping these schedules current. In addition, the individual in this role will perform secondary duties as a Configuration Management Engineer, providing support to the team's Lead Configuration Management Engineer.
SPECIFIC TASKING/PROJECT SUPPORT:
Assist Senior Project scheduler with program schedule updates while coordinating input from various program office teams
Analyze schedule for proper use of program level standard codes, layouts and reports necessary to ensure data integrity
Analyze and/or integrate contractor provided IMS's, perform analysis of performance and overall schedule practices, providing assessment and recommendations to Program Office personnel
Perform Critical Path analyses
Assist the Senior Project Scheduler in program office reporting as necessary
Assess contractor provided System Engineering artifacts, such as test plans and RVTM's from the aspect of schedule realism
Serve on integrated cross-functional teams supporting studies and analysis
Review contract data requirements lists (CDRLs)
Assist with the evaluation of engineering change proposals and detail project schedules
Facilitate Engineering Review Board (when required)
Qualifications
REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS:
Bachelor's degree and two (2) years or more experience or Master's degree
Working knowledge of IC principles, procedures
Demonstrated knowledge of scheduling processes
Demonstrated knowledge of Configuration Management Tools and processes
Working expertise with Microsoft Project
Ability to work in a fast-paced work environment
The ability to work proactively, independently, and/or as a member of a highly effective technical team while developing approaches
Demonstrated knowledge of AGILE Scrum and SAFe software development methods
Strong communication skills, including providing written and oral presentations to audiences from a diverse set of backgrounds
Demonstrated ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with customers
Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite and various SE, PM tools
**May require overnight travel up to 3 percent of the work year
DESIRED QUALIFICATIONS:
IR Common Systems and Data Components to include OPIR phenomenology, characteristics, designs, commanding systems, and data processing architectures. Current and known future sensors include: Space Based Infrared System (SBIRS) GEO, Defense Support Program (DSP), and awareness of Next Gen GEO, Next Gen Polar, space Defense Agency/Missile Defense Agency Hypersonic and Ballistic Tracking Space Sensor (HBTSS)
GEOINT Reference Architecture, Consolidated OPIR Ground System (COGS), MDA's Command, Control, Battle Management, and Communications (C2BMC), SMC's Future Operationally Resilient Ground Evolution (FORGE), and Enterprise Ground Services (EGS)
