Great Plains Product Owner

RESPONSIBILITIES:
Kforce has a client that is seeking a Grear Plains Product Owner in Houston, TX.

Overview:
The GP Product Owner is responsible for owning the vision, roadmap, and day-to-day execution of a designated Enterprise Resource Planning (GP) platform. This role serves as the primary functional and business owner of the GP, ensuring the system delivers measurable business value while remaining stable, scalable, and well-supported.

In addition to traditional product ownership responsibilities, this role is highly hands-on and provides Level 3 (L3) GP support, acting as the internal subject-matter expert for complex functional issues, configuration, integrations, and system behavior. The GP Product Owner bridges business operations, IT, vendors, and support teams to ensure both strategic progress and operational excellence.

Reporting & Collaboration:
* Reports to: Director of Enterprise Applications/GP Program Lead
* Works closely with: Finance, Operations, Supply Chain, Project Management, IT Operations, Data & Integration Teams, and GP vendors

REQUIREMENTS:
* 5+ years of experience working with enterprise GP systems in a functional, product, or analyst role
* Proven experience as a Product Owner, Functional Lead, or Senior Business Analyst
* Strong hands-on experience configuring and supporting an GP platform
* Demonstrated experience providing Level 3 GP support in a production environment
* Deep understanding of core GP domains (Finance, Operations, Supply Chain, Projects, or Manufacturing)
* Experience working in Agile or hybrid delivery models
* Business-outcome focused with strong operational empathy
* Comfortable switching between strategy and deep hands-on execution
* Strong ownership mindset and bias toward accountability
* Ability to make pragmatic decisions in complex environments
* Calm and effective under production pressure
* Strong analytical, troubleshooting, and problem-solving skills
* Ability to communicate effectively with both technical and non-technical stakeholders

Preferred Qualifications:
* Experience with Microsoft Dynamics 365, SAP, Oracle, or NetSuite GP platforms
* GP or Agile certifications (CSPO, SAFe PO/PM, or platform-specific certifications)
* Experience in multi-entity, multi-company, or acquisition-driven environments
* Familiarity with integrations, data flows, and reporting platforms (e.g., Power BI)
* Experience working in a regulated or operationally critical environment

The pay range is the lowest to highest compensation we reasonably in good faith believe we would pay at posting for this role. We may ultimately pay more or less than this range. Employee pay is based on factors like relevant education, qualifications, certifications, experience, skills, seniority, location, performance, union contract and business needs. This range may be modified in the future.

Hourly employees are not eligible for paid time off unless required by law. Hourly employees on a Service Contract Act project are eligible for paid sick leave.
