In this role you will be acting as a Solution Architect, leading the technical strategy and architecture for enterprise-wide automation initiatives. This includes leveraging advanced RPA platforms, Intelligent Document Processing (IDP), and AI/ML to reimagine digital workflows.
You will serve as a technical anchor, collaborating with product managers, process owners, infrastructure teams, developers, QA, and support engineers across geographies.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide technical, architectural direction and mentorship to the IPA engineering team.
- Translate high-level business requirements into scalable architecture artifacts (HLDs, LLDs, integration diagrams, SDDs etc.).
- Architect and scale large-volume IPA solutions capable of processing millions of documents efficiently.
- Define and own the end-to-end architecture for IPA solutions, combining RPA, OCR/IDP, AI/ML, and cloud-native services.
- Lead platform design that is agnostic to specific RPA vendors (UiPath, Automation Anywhere, etc.), ensuring adaptability to future tool changes.
- Optimize performance, throughput, and stability of automation workflows.
- Drive the adoption of AWS cloud-native services for hosting and scaling automation bots.
- Design scalable, reusable automation frameworks for complex business workflows.
- Lead technical feasibility assessments and define automation roadmaps aligned with business priorities.
- Present technical solutions and project updates to senior leadership and non-technical stakeholders.
- Design and implement API-driven integrations with enterprise systems.
- Collaborate with global teams (Product, Infra, QA, Support) across time zones, ensuring smooth delivery.
- Architect and maintain automation platforms on AWS, leveraging services such as EC2, Lambda, S3, Step Functions, DynamoDB, SQS/SNS, and CloudWatch.
- Stay ahead of trends in Gen AI, LLMs, agentic AI, and hyper automation.
- Establish engineering best practices around coding standards, performance tuning, monitoring, and security.
- Lead troubleshooting and resolution of complex technical issues in production environments.
- Partner with Product and Process Owners to evaluate automation opportunities, design scalable solutions, and balance speed with quality.
- Create dashboards to measure platform KPIs using tools such as OpenSearch, ensuring transparency and accountability in performance metrics.
- Continuously optimize AWS resource usage to reduce the total cost of ownership while maintaining reliability and scale.
- Drive modernization of the tech stack and proactively reduce technical debt to keep the platform efficient and future-ready.
Qualifications & Experience
- 8-12 years of overall software engineering experience.
- Minimum 6 years of hands-on experience as Solution Architect-RPA/IA (UiPath, Automation Anywhere or equivalent).
- Proven track record of building, scaling, and stabilizing IPA systems in production.
- Strong understanding of OCR/IDP technologies (e.g., UiPath Document Understanding, ABBYY, AWS Textract, AWS Bedrock).
- Deep knowledge of AWS services (EC2, S3, Lambda, API Gateway, Dynamo DB, CloudWatch, etc.).
- Hands-on experience with REST/SOAP APIs, microservices integration, and event-driven systems.
- Proficiency in programming languages such as Python, C#, or Java.
- Experience with DevOps tools like Github, Jenkins and CI/CD practices.
- Experience with performance tuning and high-throughput systems.
- Familiarity with enterprise security, compliance, and monitoring practices.
- Demonstrated ability to work in distributed, cross-functional global teams.
- Comfortable with ambiguity, fast-changing environments, and proactive problem-solving.
