What is the position? Evercore is seeking to hire a Senior Associate hire in Research Technology, Data & Analytics to join a new, high-impact team applying generative AI, automation, and data-driven tools to enhance Fundamental Equity and Macro Research workflows. We are seeking a curious, collaborative problem solver who is interested in finding AI solutions for our research teams.

The Senior Associate will work closely with Research management, the Research teams, and IT to identify workflow opportunities, evaluate emerging technologies, prototype enhancements, and support adoption across the department.

Primary Responsibilities: We are seeking a motivated and collaborative problem solver to help shape how GenAI and analytics are adopted across the equities division. This role will work closely with Research teams and senior leadership to identify workflow opportunities, design practical solutions, and support successful implementation. Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
  • Partner with Research sector teams to understand their workflow challenges and identify opportunities for GenAI, automation, and data-driven tools to improve efficiency and output quality.
  • Translate business needs into clear solution requirements and collaborate with IT to evaluate, prioritize, and deliver feasible tools and enhancements.
  • Prototype and test lightweight AI-enabled solutions (e.g., summarization, drafting support, data extraction) to demonstrate value and gather user feedback.
  • Support the integration and adoption of AI and workflow-enhancement tools into day-to-day research processes, ensuring usability, compliance, and alignment with firm standards.
  • Coordinate with cross-functional partners to manage rollout, training, documentation, and change-management activities for new tools and capabilities.
  • Stay current on emerging GenAI technologies and industry best practices, providing guidance on new opportunities that can enhance Research workflows.

Specific Qualifications:
  • 3+ years of experience in financial services, analytics, technology strategy, or a related field; familiarity with investment research methods and process is preferred but not required.
  • Strong problem-solving skills and intense intellectual curiosity about markets & investing with the ability to break down ambiguous workflow challenges and propose practical, impactful solutions
  • Familiarity, practical experience and core proficiency in the use of LLMs and related infrastructure for sophisticated prompting, coding, sprint application development, applied analytics, ML model methods , and the delivery of enterprise-level solutions.
  • Best-in-class communication and listening skills with a demonstrated ability to understand user needs and clearly articulate recommendations to both technical and non-technical audiences.
  • Highly organized, able to manage multiple projects simultaneously, and energized by working in a fast-moving, exploratory environment.
  • Demonstrated interest in how GenAI and workflow automation are reshaping financial services.
  • This position requires valid United States work authorization and is not eligible for visa sponsorship.

Expected Base Salary Range: $160,000 - $200,000
