Description

We are seeking a versatile SAP Administrator to join our client's team in Madison, WI for a contract opportunity. This role involves handling a variety of responsibilities, including ticket remediation, processing requests, monitoring the S/4 landscape, managing upgrades, conducting Basis activities, working with disaster recovery tests, and overseeing system setup and maintenance. You'll also work closely with the Value-Added Reseller (VAR) ensuring effective communication, managing changes, and supporting system operations.

The ideal candidate will bring a strong mix of SAP expertise, hands-on Basis experience, and communication skills to collaborate with multiple stakeholders. You'll also have the opportunity to mentor a junior team member and work on projects that enhance the organization's SAP environment.

Contract Role Responsibilities:

Remediate tickets and process system requests.

Monitor the SAP S/4 landscape, ensuring smooth system performance.

Execute upgrades, patches, and Basis activities.

Manage transport requests through RevTrack (Transportation Management).

Coordinate and perform disaster recovery tests annually.

Engage with VAR to ensure efficient processes and timely implementations.

Facilitate communication across teams and manage information changes effectively.

Support transition management and provide mentorship to a junior team member.

Must-Have Qualifications:

SAP S/4HANA experience: Hands-on exposure to new implementations.

SAP Engineer experience: Minimum of 2+ years working as an SAP Engineer.

Basis expertise: Strong understanding of SAP BASIS, which includes managing the technical foundation that enables SAP applications to operate smoothly.

Preferred Skills:

Familiarity with SAP Business Technology Platform (BTP).

Experience with SAP Commerce Cloud, IBP, OpenText, DataSphere, and SAP Analytics Cloud (SAC).

Requirements

Hands-on experience with SAP S/4HANA, including new implementations.
At least 2 years of experience as an SAP Engineer with technical expertise in Basis.
Strong understanding of SAP Basis HANA and database administration.
Proficiency in disaster recovery planning and execution.
Familiarity with SAP Business Technology Platform and related tools.
Experience with SAP Commerce Cloud, OpenText, and SAP Analytics Cloud.
Knowledge of SAP FICO and other ERP modules.
Excellent communication skills and the ability to work collaboratively across teams.
