Description

Our client has multiple needs open for entry level telecom roles. They are looking for someone who is looking for their 1st job in the telecom space. These technicians will be learning cabling on a grand scale. They have an exclusive contract to build the cable infrastructure for them throughout the data center. Their role will be to assist the higher level techs and the team leads in building out the infrastructure to include: pulling cable, pulling fiber, learning color codes, learning how to punch down and terminate fiber, installing cable trays and pathways, and build server racks. More than likely Tech's will start our installing cable tray's and building the server racks.

Job Responsibilities
  • Drop and route cable using fish tape or other methods
  • Organize, dress, label, and prepare cables for termination
  • Install cable trays, J-hooks, D-rings, bridal rings, trapeze supports
  • Ground racks and equipment per safety standards
  • Perform fire-stopping procedures and pull cable through sleeves
  • Terminate low-voltage devices and follow detailed prints
  • Accurately complete all documentation (timesheets, work orders, etc.)
  • Adhere to safety and quality standards at all times

Top Skills Required
  • Telecom Experience: Installing cable trays, pulling cable/fiber, punch down, termination
  • Hand Tools Proficiency: Comfortable using basic construction and cabling tools
  • Construction Knowledge: Ability to follow blueprints and build infrastructure components

Secondary Skills (Nice to Have)
  • Familiarity with structured cabling standards
  • Ability to work at heights and in active construction zones
  • Strong organizational skills and adaptability in fast-paced environments

Schedule & Expectations

  • Full-time, on-site at Meta's Richmond data center
  • Flexible hours; may require 10-12 hour shifts, 6 days/week
  • Must be punctual, team-oriented, and open to learning

Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $19.00 - $23.00/hr.
