Immediate need for a talented Adobe Commerce Integration Architect. This is a 12+ months contract opportunity with long-term potential and is located in Toronto, ON (Hybrid). Please review the job description below and contact me ASAP if you are interested.

Pay Range: CAD 75 - CAD 80/hour. Employee benefits include, but are not limited to, health insurance (medical, dental, vision), 401(k) plan, and paid sick leave (depending on work location).
Key Responsibilities:
- Integration Strategy & Design:
- Lead the architectural design and development of robust, scalable, and secure integration solutions for Adobe Commerce, connecting it with ERP (e.g., SAP, Oracle), CRM (e.g., Salesforce), PIM, OMS, payment gateways, shipping providers, marketing automation tools, and other third-party systems.
- Define integration patterns, data flows, API specifications, and communication protocols (e.g., REST, SOAP, GraphQL, queues, webhooks).
- Develop comprehensive technical specifications, integration diagrams, and documentation for integration solutions.
- Evaluate and recommend appropriate integration technologies, tools, and platforms.
- Technical Leadership & Implementation Oversight:
- Provide technical leadership and guidance to development teams on integration best practices, coding standards, and solution implementation.
- Conduct technical reviews of integration code and solutions to ensure quality, performance, and adherence to design principles.
- Oversee the end-to-end integration lifecycle, from requirements gathering and design to development, testing, deployment, and post-launch support.
- Troubleshoot and resolve complex integration issues, performance bottlenecks, and data discrepancies.
- Collaboration & Communication:
- Act as a subject matter expert and technical liaison between business stakeholders, development teams, project managers, and external vendors/partners.
- Translate business requirements into clear, actionable technical integration designs.
- Present complex technical concepts and solutions to both technical and non-technical audiences.
- System Performance & Scalability:
- Ensure that integration solutions are designed for optimal performance, scalability, and high availability, supporting high-traffic e-commerce environments.
- Identify potential performance bottlenecks and propose solutions.
- Mentorship & Best Practices:
- Mentor junior and mid-level developers on integration architecture and development.
- Stay current with Adobe Commerce updates, new integration capabilities, industry trends, and emerging technologies.
Key Requirements and Technology Experience:
- Key skills; Adobe Commerce, Magneto
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field.
- [X+] years of experience in software development, with at least [Y+] years specifically in a technical architect or lead role focused on e-commerce integrations.
- Deep expertise in Adobe Commerce (Magento) architecture and its integration capabilities.
- Proven experience designing and implementing integrations with major enterprise systems (e.g., ERP, CRM, PIM, OMS) using various integration patterns (e.g., API-led connectivity, batch processing, event-driven architectures).
- Strong proficiency in PHP and MySQL, with hands-on development experience.
- Extensive experience with RESTful APIs, SOAP, and potentially GraphQL.
- Familiarity with message queues (e.g., RabbitMQ, Kafka) for asynchronous communication.
- Understanding of cloud platforms (e.g., AWS, Azure, Google Cloud Platform) and their integration services.
- Experience with version control systems (e.g., Git) and CI/CD pipelines.
- Excellent problem-solving, analytical, and debugging skills.
- Strong communication, interpersonal, and presentation skills.
- Ability to work effectively in an Agile/Scrum environment.
- Adobe Commerce Developer or Architect certifications.
- Experience with specific integration platforms or middleware (e.g., MuleSoft, Boomi, Informatica, custom integration layers).
- Familiarity with containerization (Docker, Kubernetes).
- Experience with front-end technologies relevant to e-commerce (e.g., React, Vue.js for headless commerce integrations).
