Project Overview:
We are seeking an experienced IT Project Manager (Consultant Contractor) to lead a 12 15-month SAP S/4HANA ERP implementation project, with a focus on Finance, Supply Chain Management, and enterprise system integrations.
This role will drive execution from planning through go-live, ensuring the solution meets both technical and business requirements.
Key Responsibilities:
ERP Program Leadership
- Lead the full project lifecycle of the SAP S/4HANA implementation, focusing on core functional areas including Finance and Supply Chain Management.
- Manage project scope, schedules, and budgets across business and IT stakeholders.
- Coordinate internal teams, external SAP consultants, and integration partners to ensure
alignment and timely delivery.
Integration Management
- Drive the planning, design, and implementation of integrations between SAP S/4HANA and surrounding systems (e.g., CRM, MES, WMS, legacy platforms).
- Collaborate with architects and technical teams to define integration requirements, data flows, and performance standards.
- Oversee integration testing, issue resolution, and cutover readiness.
Execution & Oversight
- Maintain comprehensive project documentation, including project plans, risk logs, decision registers, and status reports.
- Facilitate resolution of cross-functional issues and escalate project risks as necessary.
- Ensure functional and technical deliverables support end-to-end business processes across Finance and Supply Chain.
Change & Communication
- Support change management, stakeholder engagement, and training efforts.
- Lead communication plans to keep executives and key users informed throughout the
implementation lifecycle.
- Oversee cutover planning, go-live support, and transition to operational support teams.
Required Qualifications:
- 6+ years of IT project management experience, including at least 2 3 full lifecycle SAP ERP
Private Cloud implementations.
- Hands-on experience managing SAP implementations specifically covering:
o Finance modules and related business processes
o Supply Chain Management, including procurement, inventory, production planning, and order fulfillment
o System integrations between SAP and enterprise applications
- Proven ability to lead cross-functional teams in high-complexity enterprise environments.
- Strong knowledge of SAP Activate or equivalent implementation methodology.
- Excellent stakeholder communication, vendor coordination, and executive reporting skills.
- Proficiency with project management tools (e.g., MS Project, Jira, Smartsheet).
Preferred Qualifications:
- PMP, PRINCE2, or Agile/Scrum certification.
- SAP S/4HANA certifications or demonstrated expertise in SAP FI, MM, SD, or PP modules.
- Experience with integration platforms such as SAP Business Technology Platform (BTP), SAP CPI, or Informatica.
- Prior experience in regulated or manufacturing industries (e.g., life sciences, pharma).
