JOB SUMMARY:
A global organization is undergoing a major enterprise transformation to replace multiple legacy ERP systems and processes with a unified SAP S/4HANA platform and standardized global operations. The SAP S/4HANA Workstream Lead – Record-to-Report (R2R) will be a key member of the IT Business Applications team, responsible for leading the successful implementation of record-to-report, budgeting, forecasting, and compliance-related processes within the SAP S/4HANA Public Cloud environment.

This role involves close collaboration with the SAP implementation partner and stakeholders across finance and other business functions to plan, execute, and support the ERP rollout. Post-implementation, the role ensures users are proficient, efficient, and aligned with standardized processes and best practices.

This position plays a critical role in enabling global scalability and operational excellence by working with cross-functional teams across all company locations to understand current operations and guide the transition to harmonized ERP processes.


KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Business Understanding: Develop a deep understanding of the organization’s financial operations.
  • Project Planning: Collaborate with implementation partners and business users during discovery, preparation, and exploration phases to review deliverables, participate in workshops, validate processes, resolve issues, and finalize scope.
  • System Implementation: Support system configuration, data migration, deployment across dev/test/prod environments, testing, user training, and go-live activities.
  • Post-Go-Live Support: Provide ongoing support for SAP users, conduct process health checks, troubleshoot issues, and ensure adoption of standardized workflows and system benefits.
  • Process Optimization: Analyze current financial processes and identify opportunities for improvement using SAP S/4HANA and AI-driven capabilities.
  • Record-to-Report Alignment: Collaborate with internal teams to ensure finance processes are aligned with SAP standards and best practices.
  • Project Services: Support teams managing service projects using the SAP Project System (PS) module.
  • Financial Planning: Assist in the adoption of financial planning features in SAP S/4HANA to support budgeting, forecasting, and related processes.

REQUIRED EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Business Administration, or Finance
  • Minimum 5 years of experience in record-to-report, budgeting, forecasting, compliance, and financial control processes within a multinational organization
  • At least 3 years of experience implementing finance control processes in SAP S/4HANA, including the Public Cloud edition
  • Advanced expertise in SAP modules: Finance (FI), Accounts Receivable (AR), Accounts Payable (AP), General Ledger (GL), Controlling (CO), and Asset Accounting (AA)
  • Foundational knowledge of related SAP modules: Group Reporting, Treasury & Risk Management (TRM), Advanced Financial Closing (AFC), Financial Planning & Analysis (FP&A), and Fiori apps
  • Proven hands-on experience in SAP S/4HANA configuration and implementation
  • Experience supporting users in process improvement and operational management using SAP
  • Strong understanding of finance, accounting, and controlling operations

PREFERRED SKILLS & EXPERIENCE:

  • SAP S/4HANA Certification
  • Multilingual fluency (German, Portuguese, Norwegian, or other languages)
  • Experience in the metal or chemical manufacturing industries
  • Comfortable working with distributed, multicultural, and multilingual teams
  • Self-motivated and adaptable in fast-paced, evolving environments

TRAVEL REQUIREMENTS:
